West Brom vs Manchester United Predictions

West Brom’s excellent form continued in midweek as they demolished Swansea 3-1 at the Hawthorns, courtesy of a hat trick of headed Salomon Rondon goals. This takes their recent record to four wins, one draw, and just one defeat in their last six outings, and it’s looking like a very promising season for them.

This form is reflected in their league position as well, with them sitting in an impressive 7th position in the Premier League and just four points behind Manchester United in 6th. A win here would slash that gap to just one point, and if this form continues there’s a very real chance of European football at the Hawthorns next season.

Salomon Rondon may have bagged the hat trick in midweek, but he’s not the only attacker causing excitement. Nacer Chadli has been a revelation since joining in the summer, but I still think the best value is to be had with Rondon. The Venezuelan target man has scored five goals at home this season and comes in at 12/5 to score anytime, so I’m backing him for our goalscorer predictions.

Manchester United have their own big front-man in Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swede legend netted the winner on Wednesday against Crystal Palace to make it nine league goals for the season. He has scored five in his last five in all competitions as well and looks a good value backing at 20/21.

The visitors may not look at their best at the moment, but the results are finally starting to come for them. Their last ditch win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday made it nine matches unbeaten and six of these have ended in victory.

In the Premier League they have won three and drawn four of their last seven, and away from home they have won two, drawn two, and lost two of their last six league matches.

West Brom will certainly feel they have a chance here. They have lost just one of their last seven home games and they’ve scored ten goals in their last three matches at the Hawthorns.

The bookies are heavily favouring Manchester United though, and that leaves value on the table for us. West Brom have only lost two of their eight home games this season and are facing a Manchester United side who have failed to win four of their last six on the road. The visitors may be improving, but I think odds of 13/10 for a West Brom Win or Draw Double Chance are excellent value for money. I’m backing a 1-1 correct score predictions at 13/2 as well.
