West Ham vs Crystal Palace Betting Tips & Predictions

West Ham missed out on the chance to move into the top four before the international break when they twice let Chelsea back into the game after leading, with equalising goals in the dying minutes of each half seeing the Hammers drop two points.

However, they are still looking like they could make a top four spot. They are the most in form side of the four teams genuinely challenging for the position, with Manchester City, Manchester United, and Southampton all struggling a bit. West Ham, on the other hand, are unbeaten in their last eight matches in all competitions and have won four of their last six outings.

Manchester City currently occupy this all important position, but they are out of form and have just a one point advantage over West Ham in 5th. A win on Saturday could well see West Ham climb above them into the Champions League qualification positions. They also have a winnable FA Cup Replay coming up at home to Manchester United, so the season is looking bright for them.

Crystal Palace have made it through to the FA Cup semi finals themselves after a win over Reading, but that’s about as far as the good news goes for Crystal Palace.

They remain without a Premier League win in 2016, with their last success coming in the middle of December. Since then they have lost nine of their 13 Premier League matches and have picked up just two points from a possible 33 since the turn of the year.

This puts them down in 16th position of the Premier League, and if they don’t turn it around soon they could well find themselves battling against relegation. They currently only have a seven point advantage over 18th placed Sunderland, and Norwich, Sunderland, and Newcastle all look in much better shape than Crystal Palace.

I think Palace will lose this one as well, and odds of 19/20 for a West Ham win look very favourable considering both teams contrasting forms. I’m backing this along with a 2-0 correct score prediction at 17/2.
