West Ham

      Tip Reasoning

The Premier League away specialists were thwarted last weekend as West Ham succumbed to a 2-0 defeat from Watford to end their unbeaten streak on the road.

Their confusing inconsistency will worry the Hammers’ fans. They have beaten Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City away from home already this season, but they couldn’t manage the same sort of performance against Watford.

This saw them drop down to 6th place in the Premier League table, but a win on Saturday could send them as high as 3rd position.

But their home record will be a concern. They have only picked up seven of a possible 15 points at Upton Park this season, and they’re facing an Everton side high on confidence.

They should be high on confidence as well. They hosted Sunderland last weekend and came away with a very impressive 6-2 victory over the strugglers.

This ended their four match winless streak after a tough run of fixtures which included games against Liverpool, Manchester United, and Arsenal.

This sees them sit in 9th position in the Premier League with 16 points from their opening 11 games. Eight of those points have come from their five games on the road.

Both sides are in pretty good form up front but poor form at the back coming into this match as well. West Ham have seen three or more goals scored and both sides hit the back of the net in six of their last seven games, with Everton seeing the same outcome in four of their last seven games.

The same can be said of four of the last five meetings between West Ham and Everton, so I think odds of 1/1 for Over 2.5 Match Goals and Both Teams to Score are excellent value. I’m expecting a close match as well, so a 2-2 correct score prediction at 12/1 looks good as well.
