West Ham vs Norwich Predictions
Inconsistency is the word of the season for West Ham. They started the season with a 2-0 victory at the Emirates, and have since beaten Liverpool at Anfield and Manchester City at the Etihad. Just to put that into perspective: That has never been done before. Ever.
However, defeats against Bournemouth, Astra, and Leicester (twice) has brought the Hammers crashing back down to Earth.
Their defeat to Leicester in midweek was the second time this season they have lost against Claudio Ranieri’s side, and once again was the wind taken out of the sails of the euphoric West Ham fans.
But their 2-1 win over Manchester City cannot be overstated. The home side had maintained a perfect record in the Premier League up until that point and looked unstoppable, but West Ham managed to pull off a huge shock.
These results have seen them climb to 3rd position in the Premier League with a 12 point collection from their opening six games. A win could see them go level with City at the top of the table.
Norwich are down in 11th, which is a position they would be happy with come the end of the season.
They have eight points after their opening six games having beaten Sunderland and Bournemouth, lost to Southampton and Crystal Palace, and drawn with Stoke and Liverpool.
They managed to beat more Premier League opposition in the Capital One Cup as well, seeing off West Brom with a comfortable 3-0 win to move into the 4th round of the cup.
Norwich have scored in all but one of their matches in all competitions this season, whilst West Ham have scored in all of their matches and conceded in all but three of them.
Both teams have been good going forward, but I think West Ham will get the better of Norwich on Saturday. A bet of West Ham to Win and Both Teams to Score looks good to me, and odds of 10/3 make it even better.
