Weymouth vs Wrexham Predictions
- Weymouth are without a win in 11 games
- Wrexham have won 8 of their last 12 away fixtures
- Weymouth have failed to score in three home matches
Weymouth heading for relegation
Time has all but run out for Weymouth to save themselves from falling into the National League South, with a run of eight defeats in 11 leaving them 13 points from safety with five games remaining.
Manager David Oldfield took charge in January, but has been unable to turn around their form, to the point where the Terras have failed to score in seven of their last 10.
Their results at the Bob Lucas Stadium has been marginally better, drawing three of their last four, but the other game ended in defeat and they have netted just two goals during that time, in a 2-2 stalemate with Bromley.
Wrexham still eying top spot
Defeat to Woking was a hammer blow to Wrexham’s hopes of winning the National League at the weekend, but they are still only six points behind Stockport thanks to 10 wins in 13.
Phil Parkinson’s side have one of the better away records in the division, picking up 10 victories in 19 outings, nine of which have come in the last 13.
They are strong defensively too, keeping five clean sheets in 13 fixtures, while in Paul Mullin, on 24 goals this season, including nine in nine, they have the firepower to beat anybody.
I predict Wrexham will win this game to nil, selecting 2-0 as a correct score prediction.
