Wolves vs Burnley Predictions
Wolves haven’t been in good form and haven’t had a great season so far after an impressive 7th place finish last term. They’ve lost 4 of their last 5 games but there has still been the odd really impressive showing from them that suggests they are no spent force and could give Burnley a real game here.
They were 2-0 winners away to a Birmingham side that are in the top six last weekend but couldn’t back that up at Bristol City in midweek. Burnley meanwhile have fully taken advantage of a decent run of fixtures that has seen them play many of the sides at the bottom. They have won 5 of their last 6 matches, drawing the other to move into the top two and they are only denied top spot by Hull’s superior goal difference.
They haven’t been quite as solid defensively as Sean Dyche might have liked though and have only kept clean sheets in 4 of their 15 Championship matches this season. Wolves have one of the best strikers in the league in Benik Afobe and have failed to score in only 2 of their last 16 games at Molineux. Therefore it certainly seems likely that both teams will find the net at some point in the game and you can back that to be the case at 5/6.
Burnley are clearly the favourites for the win but this is a good deal tougher than some of their recent matches and if Wolves play to their potential, which admittedly often they don’t, they can be really dangerous opposition for anyone in this league.
Burnley have only lost twice all season though and Wolves have only won twice at Molineux this term so it’s hard to see the Black Country side having enough to win the game but they could grab a point. Therefore consider backing this one to finish in an entertaining 2-2 draw at decent odds of 14/1.
