Wycombe Wanderers vs Aston Villa Predictions

  • Aston Villa have won five of their six matches this season
  • Villa have scored exactly three goals in each of their last three matches
  • Both teams have scored in six of Wycombe’s ten matches this season

Villans can avoid cup trouble

Aston Villa had to come from behind to beat Wolves 3-1 in the Premier League on Saturday but things should be more comfortable for the Premier League side at Wycombe.

That was the third match in a row that Villa had scored three times and we predict another treble for the in-form top-flight side.

Unai Emery’s men have won five of their six matches this season, finding only Arsenal too strong so far, and they can overcome a Wycombe side who are also in good nick.

The Chairboys edged past Cambridge 2-1 on Saturday to record their third straight win, and they have won five of their last six while drawing the other.

They could make life uncomfortable at times for their Premier League visitors but even Emery chooses to mix his side up a bit, the Villans should be too strong and a high-scoring away win is the prediction.

Duran on-song for Villa

Colombian striker Jhon Duran came off the bench to score Villa’s third goal in the win over Wolves at the weekend and another goal for the in-form forward is predicted on Tuesday.

That strike made it six in his last eight outings for the Villans’ starlet who is likely to be handed a starting place at Adams Park this week.

Wolves, Everton, Leicester and West Ham have all found in him too hot to handle this season, and our prediction is for the Colombian to hit the net once again.
