    Tip Reasoning

    • Wycombe have won 71% of their home games this season
    • Both Teams to Score has landed in 62% of Blackpool’s away games this season
    • Blackpool are winless in eight away league games

    Wycombe on the slide

Wycombe had a phenomenal start to the season as they lost just once in their opening 20 league fixtures, a run that saw them storm to the top of the league and look nailed on for a top two berth this season. That scintillating form has come to an abrupt halt however and they are in danger of slipping out of the top seven completely if they don’t turn around their fortunes quickly.

Since that run Wycombe have won just once in their last seven league games and have lost five of those games. What’s even more concerning is the fact they have conceded 17 goals in those seven games, they only conceded 14 goals in their previous 20. This will be of huge concern to manager Gareth Ainsworth, they will know they can rescue this season and still gain automatic promotion but they need to turn it around now.

    Blackpool in free fall

Blackpool are another side that have really struggled over the winter period, just three losses in 19 to start the season had the Seasiders in really good shape in the table however four losses in five league games since has seen them drop like a stone in the League One table and they currently find themselves in 15th place.

The Tangerines have some good news despite their bleak recent run, forward Gary Madine has signed for the club and he brings with him a wealth of experience in gaining promotion from the lower leagues. He achieved three consecutive promotions with Sheffield United, Cardiff City and Bolton Wanderers all going up a division with Madine at the club. The 29-year-old has scored 88 goals in 298 appearances in his career and he will expect to hit the ground running in his second spell at the club.

Goals the order of the day

Whilst both sides form has been questionable of late, the one thing that hasn’t has been the goals. Wycombe have averaged 1.86 goals per game at home this season and have managed to score in every home fixture at Adams Park. Blackpool, on the other hand, have scored in 9 of their 13 away games this season.

Both Teams to Score seems to be where the money’s at in this one, the hosts have seen this bet land in 57% of their home games including their last three in a row. Blackpool has seen both teams score in 62% of their away games this season with the bet landing in four of their last five on the road.

Both sides are in dreadful form however Wycombe are the best home side in the division with 33 points from 14 home games this season. This is largely thanks to their early run which saw them win nine of their first 11 home games however we feel they will have too much for the visitors and see them running out 2-1 winners.
