The night started with the Washington Nationals who had little to no issues at home against the Miami Marlins. After winning the first inning 2-1, Washington then went up a gear and it was 6-1 after the 4th inning. There was no coming back for Miami after that and it finished 7-3 for our first winner on the 5-fold.
The 2nd game was a tight one between the Houston Astros and Toronto Blue Jays. Choosing the winner here wasn’t that difficult considering the form Houston were in. Coming into this one they won 3 in a row and it was a promising start from them as they led 4-0 after 3 innings. However, Toronto battled back and came within one run after the 5th inning. Luckily for us though the Astros managed to score an extra run in the 9th inning to win by 2 runs here and land our -1.5 Run Line tip!
Similarly to Washington in the first game, the Boston Red Sox got off to a dominant start in their game against the Baltimore Orioles. It was 6-0 after 4 innings and in the end it was enough as the Red Sox ran out comfortable 6-2 winners. Boston has clinched the best record in the league for the regular season!
Cleveland struggled a bit against the Chicago White Sox in the 4th game of the Acca. It was scoreless for a long time, but the Indians caught a break in the 7th inning and went up 1-0. The game opened up a bit after that and we were on for a tense final two innings. The Indians were the better team during that stretch and it showed as they scored another 3 runs in the final 9th inning to clinch a 4:0 win, leaving us with just one team left in our Acca!
Seattle and Oakland battled in that final game. The two teams exchanged leads over the first 6 innings, but it was the Athletics who pulled away for good in the 7th and 8th innings and the game finished 7-3 in their favour to clinch another Acca winner for us!!
