3/1 League Of Legends Treble Lands!
The League Of Legends World Championship started yesterday and it was the perfect start for our Esports expert, who landed a 3/1 Treble to kick off the world’s premier Esports event!
With the group stage lasting all the way through until next week, we can be hopeful of further success with our selections as the tournament progresses!
How It Landed
The treble kicked off with Royal Never Give Up, a team that has enjoyed plenty of success without winning at previous World Championships, fighting against Clutch Gaming. Royal Never Give Up’s class won them the day, and although Clutch Gaming put up fair resistance, they were no match for the Chinese outfit.
The bookies put up Team Liquid as outsiders against DAMWON Gaming, and that proved to be a big mistake. America’s Number 1 team had built up a great regular-season record and although DAMWON Gaming did look good when rattling through the play-in bracket, they start the Worlds at 0-1. The match was decided by a brilliant teamfight victory by Liquid, who wiped DAMWON off the map at the thirty-minute market without losing a single team member.
It all was left to Splyce to land the treble, and it was never really in doubt. The European Team always looked in control after getting the upper hand early and at the thirty-minute market, GAM Esports were picked apart methodically on the bottom lane, with four members going down, and Splyce needed no second invitation to destroy the Nexus and win the game.
