71/1 National League Mega Acca for Monday!

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

The international break is upon us but that doesn’t mean that football stops here. Bank holiday Monday sees a full slate of games from the English National League which is back up and running after a tough couple of seasons.

We’ve gone through each of the matches from this bank holiday weekend and you can find those in our Match Predictions page, but below we’ve got a summary of our tips for Monday’s action alongside a 71/1 mega accumulator tip!

National League Mega Accumulator

Aldershot v Yeovil

Aldershot lost their opening two games but they can bounce back with a win against visitors Yeovil on Monday.

This will be Yeovil’s first away outing of the campaign, losing 2-1 at home at the weekend. They had a poor record on their travels last season with 12 defeats and just four wins in 21 attempts away from home in the league.

There was little to separate these two teams last season as they both finished on 52 points with near identical records (15 wins, seven draws and 20 defeats) as Aldershot finished one point above the Glovers by virtue of a superior goal difference.

The Shots won the corresponding fixture 2-0 last season and home advantage may make the difference on Monday, with a 1-0 win for the hosts my correct score pick.

Barnet v Dagenham & Redbridge

Barnet were battered by Notts County in their season opener as they slipped to a 5-0 defeat at home. They couldn’t respond from that, drawing 1-1 with Solihull Moors on Saturday and they look set for more disappointment when Dagenham visit on Saturday.

The Daggers opened their campaign with a 3-1 win at Stockport County. The visitors followed that up with a home win at the weekend. Those results boost a side who finished last season with seven wins in 10 games, drawing two and losing just once, and they can take all three points at Barnet, with a 2-0 win for the away side my correct score selection.

Bromley v Eastleigh

Bromley and Eastleigh finished just three points apart last season but that made all the difference as Bromley reached the play-offs and Eastleigh just missed out.

The Ravens were better on their travels than they were at home last year, picking up 39 of their 69 points away from home, and that suggests Eastleigh can get a result.

The visitors lost their opener to Wrexham, while Bromley were beaten 4-2 by Dagenham & Redbridge. We see little between the pair as a result, so we don’t think the hosts are worthy favourites.

Eastleigh in the double chance market is my tip for this National League match-up, and a 2-2 draw has a chance in the correct score market.

Dover v Boreham Wood

Dover started the new season on -12 points after being unable to complete last term due to the financial impacts of the pandemic. They failed to make a dent in that on Saturday, losing 2-0 at Maidenhead.

The Whites have since become a semi-professional team, and they look set for an incredibly difficult season in the fifth tier.

Boreham Wood visit the Crabble Athletic Ground for Dover’s season opener on Monday having won their opening two games. As a result, I’m expecting a comfortable win for the visitors, with a 3-0 success for The Wood my correct score pick.

Halifax v Altrincham

Halifax kicked off the new season with a disappointing defeat at home to Maidenhead and face a tricky game against Altrincham on Monday. Their 3-2 win over Woking may have boosted morale, but the visitors come here looking strong.

Alty started the campaign with an impressive 3-1 win at Torquay, who finished in second spot last year and lost the play-off final, and they may be able to get a result at the Shay.

My main tip for this National league clash is Altrincham in the double chance market, with a 1-1 draw my correct score selection

King’s Lynn Town vs Chesterfield

King’s Lynn may have three points from their first away trip of the season, but their home form remains a problem. They kicked things off with a 1-0 loss to Southend United and I don’t expect thing to get better.

Chesterfield are looking strong at this level having won two from two this term and they finished last term strongly to make a playoff push. After winning four of their final five games last season the visitors lost in the playoffs, but they’re back with a spring in their step.

Back Chesterfield’s perfect start to continue with three points on Monday, while I’m backing them to claim a third-straight win to nil in a 1-0 victory.

Torquay vs Woking

Both of these sides have seen plenty of goals in the new campaign and it’s worth backing that to continue in Monday’s match up.

Woking won 2-1 at Wealdstone before their 3-2 loss at home to Halifax on Saturday. Meanwhile, Torquay lost 3-1 against Altrincham and they drew 1-1 with Notts County at the weekend.

With both teams scoring in Torquay’s last four matches and in each of Woking’s last nine league games, back more goals here alongside a 2-1 victory for the hosts with Woking losing 12 of their last 14 National League matches.

Wealdstone vs Southend

Southend are aiming to make a quick return to the EFL and I’m backing them to make short work of Wealdstone this weekend.

The hosts lost 25 of 42 matches last season, claiming only two points from a possible 30 against the top five.

Wealdstone have lost both games so far this term while Southend won 1-0 at King’s Lynn in their opener, so back them for another narrow away win.

Weymouth vs Maidenhead

Weymouth lost 12 of 21 home games last season and they come into this clash having lost to nil in their opening two matches.

Meanwhile, Maidenhead have won their two games so far, meaning they’ve now won their last three National League matches.

Weymouth have lost eight of their last nine National League outings and we think that Maidenhead are great value to continue that run.
