With the US Masters in full flow and the Grand National taking place on Saturday, this is likely the biggest betting weekend of the year. Hopefully, you didn’t let that overshadow our football tips from Saturday, as our experts tipped up an 85/1 winner!

Once again, we called in some help from the Racing Post to put together our Experts’ Accumulator tip for Saturday and they landed a massive sixfold accumulator! Read on for all the details on this latest winner.

85/1 Experts’ Acca lands!

Results

  • Atletico Madrid 3-1 Girona
  • Swansea 1-0 Rotherham
  • Port Vale 2-4 Exeter
  • Mechelen 3-2 Westerlo
  • Mallorca 0-1 Real Madrid
  • Bologna 0-0 Monza

The tip got underway in La Liga’s early kick-off, where Atletico Madrid fell a goal behind to surprise package Girona. However, goals from Antoine Griezmann and Angel Correa put Atleti 2-1 up before half-time. Griezmann scored the only goal of the second half five minutes after the restart and that secured their victory.

Our 3pm double-header got off to a rough start, with Swansea going into half-time level with relegated Rotherham and Exeter two goals down at Port Vale. However, Exeter pulled one back before the hour mark and they were level 10 minutes later.

Swansea put themselves a goal up with 15 minutes left in Wales and shortly after Exeter grabbed their first lead of the game with just over 10 minutes left to play. An 89th-minute strike wrapped up a 4-2 win which was much less comfortable than the scoreline suggests.

Focus then turned to the early evening game in Belgium, where we had also picked out a Mechelen win as our Bet of the Day tip. We needed another dramatic comeback in that clash, with Mechelen 2-0 down at the break, although Westerlo had a man sent off in the final seconds of the first half. Mechelen roared back in the second half, with former Leicester striker Islam Slimani equalising. Mechelen won it in the 93rd minute, sealing our second comeback winner of the day.

Things were more straightforward in our second La Liga selection, where Real Madrid took a 1-0 lead at Mallorca shortly after half-time. They held on for a win, rolling the 85/1 to our final pick, Bologna to keep a clean sheet at home to Monza. The shock Champions League contenders have one of the best defensive records in Italy, which paid off as they kept a fourth consecutive shutout in a 0-0 draw.
