Arnold Palmer Invitational & Puerto Rico Open tips with 827/1 double
The PGA Tour action this week comes from the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Puerto Rico Open.
We’ve called on Racing Post golf expert Steve Palmer for his thoughts ahead of the two events, and he’s picked out this 827/1 winners double – which as always he recommends backing as an each way bet.

Each-way double fans have two Stateside tournaments to consider this week, with the DP World Tour on a break.
The action comes from a high-class Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill, Florida, while the second event is a low-grade Puerto Rico Open at Grand Reserve, Rio Grande.
The recommendation is an each-way double combining Tyrrell Hatton for Bay Hill glory and Sam Stevens for a PGA Tour breakthrough in Puerto Rico.
Hatton is available at 35/1, while Stevens is on offer at 22/1, so the pair can comprise an 827/1 double.
Hatton has a fantastic record at Bay Hill, having finished fourth on his Arnold Palmer debut in 2017 before winning the event in 2020.
That triumph three years ago came in brutal conditions where pars were golden – and a similarly difficult test is expected this week.
Friday is forecast to be extremely windy, so Hatton will be pleased to see he has a morning tee-time from which he can fire at relatively receptive greens.
The feisty Englishman was second in last year’s Arnold Palmer, beaten by just a shot, and a second Bay Hill victory could be on the cards on Sunday.
The Orlando-based pro was sixth in the Phoenix Open last month and has been slowly but surely finding his A-game.
Stevens has made an excellent start to his career and has nobody to fear in the Puerto Rico Open field.
He won the Colombia Classic on the Latinoamerica Tour in 2021, showing a liking for this region, then he quickly showed he was good enough to compete on the Korn Ferry Tour.
The progression of Stevens continued with 13th place in the Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour in January and the cocksure Wichita lad is the most appealing option for Grand Reserve Golf Club.
