Local bragging rights along with three precious Premier League points will be on the line at the Emirates when Arsenal lock horns with Tottenham Hotspur in the 199th North London Derby on Sunday.

Arsenal’s tussles with Tottenham are among the most white-knuckle, incident packed fixtures in the entire Premier League, and the latest edition of their bitter, local football feud this weekend promises to be just as thrilling.

With sparks certain to fly, our analysts are tipping the Gunners to turn over their bitter rivals in our match preview, however, beyond the full time result itself, there is a wide range of betting options and markets to explore for Sunday’s game – and bet365’s Bet Builder allows you to combine many of those markets to create a unique bet.

What is bet365’s Bet Builder?

Bet Builder allows you create the bet YOU want on any football match. You can choose from a list of the most popular markets and once you have added them to your bet, you can calculate the odds from your customised selection.

For example, you could combine first goalscorer, both teams to score, the total number of corners and the full-time result to create one single bet with the price for your multi-part selection.

You can add up to 6 separate markets to your Bet Builder selection, and your odds will update automatically each time you add a new selection.

Once you are finished and happy with your selections, select the price displayed on the Bet Builder slip and your unique bet will be added to your bet slip.

We’ve picked out a range of selections from Arsenal’s skirmish with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, that we think are well worth considering for your Bet Builder this week. Check them out below.

Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur Bet Builder Tips

Ajax v Spurs Champions League

Both teams to score

Traditionally, fixtures between Arsenal and Tottenham are incredibly open contests, where the action ebbs and flows to create goals and opportunities to score at both ends of the pitch.

Both Arsenal and Spurs got on the scoresheet in eight of their last 12 meetings in league cup since 2014, and each side registered in two of the three meetings between the North London rivals in 2018/19.

Arsenal and Tottenham have kept only one clean sheet between them in a combined six Premier League fixtures so far this term, and with neither defence looking even close to robust, we’re backing both teams to score again on Sunday.

We publish new both teams to score betting tips with fresh fixtures to choose from every day on our dedicated BTTS page. Make sure to check it out!

Over 4 cards in the match for both teams combined

Unsurprisingly, fixtures between arch enemies Arsenal and Tottenham are traditionally played on the edge of indiscipline, though North London derbies have also been known to spill over into complete carnage and chaos.

Last season, an incredible 18 yellow and two red cards were shown to players on both sides in the club’s trio of heated battles where tackles were exchanged without restraint.

In the teams’ last encounter at the Emirates Stadium (Arsenal 4-2 Spurs, Dec 18), a whopping eight players were cautioned and Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen was sent off late on for a second bookable offence.

With the chance to put down an early marker for the season at the other’s expense this Sunday, we expect Arsenal and Tottenham to come out swinging at the Emirates, and that should ensure we see another lofty card count by full time.

Europa League - Valencia vs Arsenal

Over 23.5 free kicks in the match

Following along those same lines of indiscipline, we’re backing referee Martin Atkinson to be heavy on his whistle this weekend.

Last season, 29, 23 and a massive 32 free kicks were awarded to both teams combined in Arsenal’s three-part series of fixtures against Tottenham, as the North London antagonists attempted to kick lumps out of each other.

Neither set of players on opposite side of the dividing line will be holding back on Sunday, and Martin Atkinson is guaranteed to be blasting air through his whistle from minute one to 90.

With that considered, we think there is value in adding over 23.5 free kicks for both teams combined to your bet365 Bet Builder slip.

Over 10 corners in the match for both teams combined

The 13.66 average corner count per game in Tottenham’s Premier League fixtures this season is currently the highest average in the entire division, and in terms of corners won, only Liverpool (26) have been awarded more corners than Spurs (22) to date in 2019/20.

The equivalent average corner count from Arsenal’s games stands at a more modest 10.33, though it’s worth noting that 11 corners were awarded on average in the Gunners’ home matches against teams from the Premier League’s top six in 2018/19.

In addition, over 10 corners were racked up by Arsenal and Tottenham in two of the teams’ three meetings last season, and the statistical patterns suggest that we should expect history to repeat itself on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur Spurs Mauricio Pochettino

Arsenal to win

While games between Arsenal and Tottenham are generally tough to call, the bad omens have been stacking up for Mauricio Pochettino ahead of the latest North London derby this weekend.

With an injury crisis at right back, doubts over the fitness of Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Alli, and rumours of discontent in camp surrounding the futures and treatment of Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen, Pochettino has more than a few problems to contend with.

However, even with a full complement of players, winning at the Emirates is something Tottenham have always found difficult.

Spurs have won just one of their last 26 Premier League visits to Arsenal (W1 D10 L15), and that victory came all the way back in 2010.

To compound their plight, Tottenham are without a win any of their last seven Premier League matches on the road, and Spurs come into Sundays’ game on the back of a confidence-sapping 0-1 reverse at home to Newcastle.

Arsenal will feel that this is an incredibly good time to play Spurs, and we’re backing them to take advantage of their rival’s numerous problems.
