57/1 Euro 2024 groups stage round 2 accumulator

Denmark vs England – England to win

England may have been criticised for their second-half performance against Serbia, but the Three Lions never looked in any real danger after taking the lead and they can get another three points in the bag against Denmark.

The Danes failed to beat Slovenia in their opener, allowing their opponents back into the game with a weary second-half showing. They could come unstuck against Gareth Southgate’s side on Thursday.

Spain vs Italy – Spain to win

Spain looked fantastic as they beat Croatia 3-0 in their opener and can stake their claim to top spot with a win over Italy, who were impressive in their own right after falling behind to a record-breaking early goal from Albania.

Spain have beaten Italy twice since the Azzurri lifted the European Championship three years ago and Italy have lost four of their seven games against top-ten-ranked nations since 2022.

Slovakia vs Ukraine – Slovakia to win

Slovakia shocked group-favourites Belgium with a 1-0 win in their opener and managed four shots on target in that game, while the dismal Ukraine managed just two against a Romania outfit that thrashed them 3-0.

Slovakia won the last meeting between these sides 4-1 and, while a similar scoreline is unlikely, they can upset the odds once again on Friday.

Poland vs Austria – Austria to win

Austria were very impressive in their narrow defeat to second-favourites France and they can get a reward for their efforts against a Poland side that lack a cutting edge.

Ralf Rangnick’s side have won six of their last eight games and matched Les Bleus for both shots on target and possession earlier this week, so back them to send Poland packing.

Turkey vs Portugal – Portugal to win

Portugal were given a scare by Czech Republic but showed their spirit with a last-gasp winner, extending their record to 11 competitive wins in a row and putting them in a good position to beat Turkey on Saturday.

The underdogs have lost three of their last five meetings with top-ten nations and showed some real frailty in defence, despite their win over Georgia.

Belgium vs Romania – Belgium to win

Belgium were stunned in their opening game but should bounce back against Romania to keep their qualifying hopes in good health.

They had won ten and drawn five of their 15 games prior to that defeat to Slovakia and they can get back on track here.
