After a brief lull following the international break we were flung headfirst into a bonanza of exciting football last week, and the action shows no signs of slowing down as we draw closer to the final stretches of the season.

With every Premier League, Champions League and Europa League match now televised and plenty of the other top European leagues boasting star-studded schedules, it can be hard to decide which matches to tune in to.

That’s where we come in. We’ve narrowed down the options and picked out the most mouth-watering ties for the coming week, and we’ll be covering every match in detail in our football predictions section.

FST’s Daily TV Accumulator Tip

Monday, 12th April – Hoffenheim vs Bayer Leverkusen (Germany Bundesliga)

Where to watch: BT Sport 1 (19:30)

Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen sit in 12th and 6th place in the Bundesliga respectively, so this isn’t exactly the most high-stakes affair of the week. However, if you want to start your week with a goalfest this is your most promising option.

Hoffenheim are slipping towards the relegation battle after three consecutive defeats but the hosts have averaged 1.77 goals per game at home this season and haven’t failed to score on their own patch since mid-December. They have only kept one clean sheet in their last 11 games though, while Bayer Leverkusen have shipped at least one goal in 18 of their last 19 matches. Expect the goals to flow on Monday evening.

Betting tip: Over 2.5 goals

Tuesday, 13th April – PSG vs Bayern Munich (UEFA Champions League)

Where to watch: BT Sport 3 (20:00)

What, you want even more goals? Stick with BT Sport on Tuesday and watch two behemoths of European football battle it out in one of the most mouth-watering ties of the season.

A masterclass in counter-attacking football earned PSG a 3-2 win in the first leg last week and we can expect a similar storyline on Tuesday. Bayern Munich attacking in waves but leaving themselves vulnerable to devastatingly quick counters from Kylian Mbappe and Neymar. Four of PSG’s last five Champions League games have featured at least four goals and Bayern have only failed to score two or more once in the competition this season. This has all the makings of a Champions League classic.

Betting tip: Over 2.5 goals

Wednesday, 14th April – Borussia Dortmund vs Manchester City (UEFA Champions League)

Where to watch: BT Sport 3 (20:00)

Another finely poised Champions League tie tops the billing on Wednesday as Borussia Dortmund look to overcome a 2-1 deficit at home to Manchester City.

The German side have endured a torrid domestic campaign but boosted morale with a 3-2 comeback win at Stuttgart on Saturday. Marco Reus scored in his second successive game in that clash, while Champions League favourites Manchester City fell to a shock 2-1 loss against a Leeds side that played the entire second half with ten men. Not the most ideal of preparations considering their dismal record in the latter stages of the Champions League.

Betting tip: Both teams to score

Thursday, 15th April – Slavia Prague vs Arsenal (UEFA Europa League)

Where to watch: BT Sport 1 (20:00)

Manchester United, AS Roma and Villarreal all hold potentially decisive leads after their Europa League quarter-final first legs, but one tie that is far from over is Arsenal’s clash with Czech giants Slavia Prague.

A last-gasp equaliser for Slavia Prague at the Emirates last week heaps the pressure on Mikel Arteta’s side as they head to the Czech Republic. The Gunners are winless in four competitive matches and their hosts on Thursday have already eliminated Leicester City and Rangers from the Europa League this season. Arsenal have it all to do against a side that are unbeaten at home in 33 competitive games, including all five of their Europa League home games.

Betting tip: Slavia Prague double chance

Friday, 16th April – Everton vs Tottenham (England Premier League)

Where to watch: Sky Sports Main Event (20:00)

Everton and Tottenham traded blows in a scintillating FA Cup clash at Goodison Park in February when the Toffees edged out their visitors in a nine-goal thriller after extra time, and the club’s Premier League skirmish back on Merseyside promises to be just as engaging.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men have been dismal at home this term, though Tottenham have come unstuck on the road all too often. Both clubs will feel they can take advantage of their opponent’s plight, so expect goalmouth action at either end.

Betting tip: Both teams to score

Saturday, 17th April – Chelsea vs Manchester City (England FA Cup)

Where to watch: BBC One (17:30)

Manchester City are targeting success on four fronts this season, and the Citizens face a major test of their quadruple winning aspirations on April 17 when they take on Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

The Blues have been making impressive strides under Thomas Tuchel – particularly in defence, where they have kept 13 clean sheets in 17 matches. However, Pep Guardiola’s team have the tools to breach any backline in world football and they should prove tough to stop in this epic showdown.

Betting tip: Manchester City to win

Sunday, 18th April – Napoli vs Inter Milan (Italy Serie A)

Where to watch: Premier Sports 1 (19:45)

The 2020/21 Serie A title is Inter’s to lose, and Antonio Conte’s champions-elect can take another step towards the Scudetto with a 24th league victory of the campaign at Napoli’s expense.

With five wins from their last six assignments, the hosts have hit a rich vein of form however, and Napoli should be armed with enough confidence to go toe-to-toe with Inter at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

Betting tip: Both teams to score
