Sports Journalist at FST, Gareth qualified as a journalist after graduating from university and spent over a decade as a freelance broadcast journalist, commentator and tipster before joining FST. Now living in Manchester, he is a long suffering Bolton Wanderers fan who also enjoys boxing, the NBA, tennis and rugby league.

The Europa League final takes place on Wednesday as German champions Bayer Leverkusen come up against Serie A outfit Atalanta at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Bayer are yet to taste defeat in any competition this season but FST tipster Aaron Rogan thinks they could face a stern challenge from La Dea. He’s backing a 2-2 draw in our Match Predictions section – and you can read why here.

I’ve put together this player bets Ultimate Bet Builder tip to complement his prediction and have opted for a scorer and a card candidate from each team, with the result this huge 190/1 offering.

I’ve used Paddy Power to slip up this bet builder and new customers can take advantage of their sign-up offer using the button below.

Europa League Final Ultimate Bet Builder Tip

Gianluca Scamacca To Score Anytime

Gianluca Scamacca has been fantastic of late for Atalanta, scoring 10 times and chipping in with three assists across his last 15 games. The Italian has been vital in their run to the final, scoring six times across their last seven matches in Europe.

Florian Wirtz To Score Anytime

Florian Wirtz recovered from a thigh injury to feature off the bench at the weekend and has been instrumental in Bayer Leverkusen’s success this season. He has scored 18 and assisted 15 across all competitions and eight of these goal contributions have come in the Europa League. Xabi Alonso has afforded him plenty of rest over the past few weeks, but he has scored seven goals in his last six games in which he has played for at least 45 minutes.

Hans Hateboer To Be Shown A Card

Atalanta’s Hans Hateboer hasn’t picked up any yellow cards in Europe yet this season but he has five yellow cards in 22 Serie A games and could fall foul of the referee on Wednesday. Hateboer could find himself marking Leverkusen star Wirtz and the Dutchman has committed multiple fouls in three of his last 10 league appearances, so he looks a good option for a card for the Italian side.

Jonathan Tah To Be Shown A Card

For Leverkusen the value play in the bookings market is defender Jonathan Tah, who has become a bit of a card magnet in this competition with a booking in each of his last three appearances. Tah had six yellow cards in 31 Bundesliga appearances this season and averages 0.9 fouls-per-game across all competitions.
