Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

The Premier League’s run-in truly gets underway this weekend, with Manchester City hosting Arsenal in a crunch clash at the top. These two sides are neck-and-neck in the title race and Sunday’s encounter could be decisive in where they finish up.

I’ve already gone with the Citizens in my Man City vs Arsenal match predictions, but I’ve also picked out a 146/1 bet builder tip for the clash. That tip has been picked out with Paddy Power, who are offering new customers £50 in free bets when you open an account and place a £10 bet!

Man City vs Arsenal Ultimate Bet Builder

Kevin De Bruyne to score anytime

While Sunday’s clash is set to be a high-pressure affair, it should be one that De Bruyne relishes. The Belgian has scored eight goals against Arsenal, more than any other team he has faced in his career. The midfielder both scored and assisted in each of the meetings between them last term, so he should be a real threat to the Gunners.

De Bruyne has scored in three of his last four home meetings with Arsenal and he’s well-priced to net again on Sunday.

Kai Havertz 1+ shot on target

Havertz took plenty of criticism early in the campaign, but he looks to have settled in at the Emirates after a string of good performances. Havertz was a big game performer at Chelsea, netting the winner in the 2021 Champions League final. He’s a player the Gunners should look to here, especially as he has scored in each of his last three Premier League appearances.

The German has had a shot on target in each of his last six league games, while he found the net for his national side last weekend. Back him to be a threat to the Citizens, as he’s good value for a shot on target in this clash.

Kai Havertz to be carded

It isn’t just the City defence that Havertz is likely to trouble, as the German also has a bad habit of getting into bother with referees. He’s already been booked 10 times since joining the Gunners, with seven of those coming in the Premier League.

Like his scoring record, he also tends to be quite foul-happy in big matches. The German was booked in the Community Shield clash with Manchester City, while he was carded in each of Arsenal’s two meetings with Liverpool this term. He heads into this clash with three bookings across his last five having seen yellow in both legs of their Champions League clash with Porto, so back Havertz for another big-game booking.

Rodri to be carded

Rodri has eight yellow cards for Man City this term, more than any player across both teams. The Spaniard missed the first clash between these two sides thanks to a sending off too, so his disciplinary record is a problem for a man who is arguably City’s most important player.

He was booked in City’s draw with Liverpool recently and the midfielder is a good bet for a card in this encounter, having averaged 1.3 fouls per game in the Premier League this term.
