Bournemouth host Manchester City at the Vitality Stadium in Sunday’s 2pm kick-off in a Premier League fixture that has been utterly dominated by the Citizens over the last four seasons.

City have held sway over Bournemouth since the Cherries were promoted to the Premier League in 2015, beating them in each of the club’s eight meetings while racking up a mammoth aggregate score of 25-3 in the process.

With that achingly one-sided head-to-head record firmly in place, it’s no surprise to see our Premier League experts tipping City to make it nine wins from nine against Bournemouth this weekend in our match preview section.

However, beyond the full time result itself, there is a wide range of betting options and markets to explore for Sunday’s game, and bet365’s exciting Bet Builder feature allows you to combine many of those markets to create a unique bet.

What is bet365’s Bet Builder?

Bet Builder allows you create the bet YOU want on any football match. You can choose from a list of the most popular markets and once you have added them to your bet, you can calculate the odds from your customised selection.

For example, you could combine first goalscorer, both teams to score, the total number of corners and the full-time result to create one single bet with the price for your multi-part selection.

You can add up to 6 separate markets to your Bet Builder selection, and your odds will update automatically each time you add a new selection.

Once you are finished and happy with your selections, select the price displayed on the Bet Builder slip and your unique bet will be added to your bet slip.

We’ve picked out a range of selections from Bournemouth’s tussle with Manchester City on Sunday afternoon, that we think are well worth considering for your Bet Builder this week. Check them out below.

Bournemouth vs Manchester City Bet Builder tips

Raheem Sterling to score anytime

Man City Raheem Sterling

Manchester City wide attacker Raheem Sterling has been in scintillating form in the opening exchanges of the 2019/20 season, hitting four goals in his first two Premier League appearances for the champions in total.

If Sterling’s current form isn’t enough to frighten Bournemouth alone, the 24-year old’s individual scoring record against the Cherries is certain to set knees knocking on the south coast.

Sterling has been directly involved in 10 goals in just seven Premier League appearances against Bournemouth (8 goals, 2 assists), and the England international notched a goal in two of his three games at the Vitality Stadium.

We’ve tipped Sterling to score anytime in our Bournemouth vs Manchester City match preview, so including him in our bet365 Bet Builder selections was a no-brainer.

Over 10 corners in the match for both teams combined

Manchester City were the corner kings in 2018/19, winning a Premier League high 287 corners in total over the duration of the season.

While their overall corner count remained high throughout the campaign, it’s interesting to note that the Citizens averaged 7.79 corners per game when playing away against teams outside the Premier League’s Big Six.

In addition, Bournemouth’s home games against teams from the Big Six last season saw a Premier League high of 79 corners awarded – which breaks down to an average of 13.17 corners per match.

The Cherries brace of Premier League meetings with Man City in 2018/19 were largely in keeping with the patterns, with 13 corners awarded on average per 90 minutes.

We pulled some of our corner stats from this week’s Bet Builder/Request a Bet stat pack for this weekend’s live Premier League fixtures. Make sure to check the rest of them out!

Under 4 cards in the match for both teams combined

Manchester City have a long running association with tactical fouling and being one of the division’s more cynical teams, however, the statistics don’t really add weight to their notoriety.

Only Liverpool (37) picked up fewer yellow cards in the Premier League than Man City (44) last season overall, and so far this term, the Citizen’s league matches have averaged just 1.5 yellow cards per game.

Bournemouth’s bookings per game average to date in 2019/20 current stands a little higher than City’s, though their figure of two cards per 90 minutes is hardly a is hardly a shin-splintering one.

Just three players in total were booked in Bournemouth’s Premier League fixtures against City last season, and we expect the referee to have another relatively easy afternoon when the teams renew acquaintances on Sunday.

Over 3 goals in the match for both teams combined

Bournemouth’s fixtures against Manchester City generally deliver on their pre-match promise, and 3 goals or more were registered in three of the last four meetings between the clubs.

The contest that bucked the trend was the last meeting between the teams, which took place in March at the Vitality Stadium – and although the margin of City’s 1-0 triumph looks razor thin, the champions actually racked up 23 attempts on the Cherries goal.

1-0 wins aren’t the kind of victories that City supporters are accustomed to – just six of their 32 Premier League wins last season were achieved with a scoreline that narrow.

Like City, Bournemouth’s matches are routinely among the Premier League’s most exciting, and it’s worth noting that 63% of their fixtures last season saw over 2.5 goals scored.

Sunday’s meeting between Bournemouth and City is positively oozing goalscoring potential, and if you are on the lookout for similar fixtures this weekend, make sure to check out our over 2.5 goals guide with 24/1 acca here.

Most goals scored in the second half

Incredibly, 66% of the goals scored in the last trio of encounters between Bournemouth and Manchester City were plundered in the second half of their respective fixtures.

However, seeing more goals scored in the second half of their league games is something both the Cherries and City will be fully familiar with.

64% of the total combined goals notched by Bournemouth and City in the Premier League so far this season were dispatched in the second period, while a full 73% of the last 15 goals hit by the Citizens on the road in the league were scored after half time.

Bournemouth will try to make life difficulty for City again for as long as they can this weekend, and it could a little time for the champions to explode into action.
