Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

While the old cliché about the dangers of a two-goal lead has little substance, we’ve seen teams fall apart when comfortably ahead.

Last week’s Home Heroes Long Haul saw five of our seven selections land. However, Crewe’s collapse against Morecambe on Saturday saw them fall to a 3-2 defeat despite being up 2-0 with just over 20 minutes to go.

The Early Payout feature from bet365 still awarded that leg as a winner, as they pay out match result bets when your selected side takes a dangerous two-goal lead. Six of last week’s seven selections paid out early, meaning only Real Sociedad’s slip prevented us from following up a 42/1 winner from the previous week.

This time around, I’ve set out to find six sides who could make the most of bet365’s Early Payout offer. Below is a 27/1 sixfold, which we hope can sail home before the 90 minutes are even up. New bet365 customers can take advantage of that great Early Payout offer and this bet £10, get £30 offer below!

Tuesday – Ipswich vs Bristol City

Ipswich have hit top form over the last couple of weeks, winning five on the spin to move within three points of Leicester City. The Tractor Boys have scored 15 times in that run, taking a two-goal lead in four of those matches.

They meet a Bristol City side who are struggling for form, having lost three on the spin. The Robins have scored just once across their last three and they’ve won once across their last five away. This should be another routine win for Ipswich, one which they can wrap up early.

Tip: Ipswich to win

Wednesday – Real Madrid vs RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig put up a fight in the first leg of this clash, just as they did at home to Manchester City at this stage 12 months ago. The Bundesliga side followed that up with a 7-0 defeat at the Etihad in the second leg and they should be in for another defeat.

Leipzig have a 1-0 deficit to overturn in this clash, while they meet an angry Real side. The Spanish giants were denied a late winner in a bizarre refereeing decision at Valencia over the weekend. Real also won each of their six group games, so back them to ease to a victory on Wednesday.

Tip: Real Madrid to win

Thursday – Ajax vs Aston Villa

Ajax found themselves 2-0 down to Bodo / Glimt in the first leg of their last Europa Conference League tie and they face an even bigger challenge on Thursday. Aston Villa head into this clash having won each of their last three games, scoring nine goals.

The Villains won four of their final five games to top their group in the Conference League and their attacking talent can blow away an Ajax side who have won just once across their last seven.

Tip: Aston Villa to win

Friday – Napoli vs Torino

Napoli’s revival under Francesco Calzona continued on Sunday, as they beat Juventus 2-1. Having blown away Sassuolo 6-1 before that, the Partenopei have pushed themselves into the frame for a European finish.

The Italian champions can continue their climb this weekend when they host a Torino side who are winless in three. Il Toro have lost all six of their visits to sides above them in the Serie A table. Expect an improved Napoli side to have little trouble seeing off one of Serie A’s lowest scorers.

Tip: Napoli to win

Saturday – Bournemouth vs Sheffield United

Bournemouth ended a winless run with a 2-0 victory over Burnley on Saturday and they can ease to another win over one of the league’s struggling sides. Sheffield United have the worst away record in the Premier League this season, losing 10 of their 13 away trips.

The Blades have conceded 30 times and scored just 10 in return on their travels and they were beaten handily by Bournemouth at Bramall Lane earlier this season.

The Cherries have now won all three of their meetings with the bottom two, scoring twice or more in each. Expect them to build on last weekend’s win by seeing off the Blades.

Tip: Bournemouth to win

Sunday – Liverpool vs Man City

Manchester City may have seen off rivals United last weekend, but they fell behind for the 10th time in the league this season. The Citizens have had a problem with falling behind throughout the campaign, having conceded the first goal in seven of their 13 away matches.

That’s an issue against a Liverpool side who are looking rampant at the minute. The Reds have conceded first on just three occasions at Anfield in the league this term, going unbeaten through their 13 home matches. They’ve scored 37 times at home in the process, while in all competitions they’ve won each of their last seven Anfield outings.

City are on a fine run of their own, but they’ve been fortunate that they’ve handed the initiative to sides who struggle to punish them. Liverpool are strong enough to hurt the champions, so I can see Klopp’s side benefitting from an early blitz.

Tip: Liverpool to win
