England betting specials ahead of their Euro 2024 opener

Pre-tournament favourites England begin their Euro 2024 campaign on Sunday as they face Serbia at the Veltins-Arena and, to mark the occasion, I’ve scoured the bookmakers for the best England specials to back.

England starting lineup acca – 5/1 with Betfair
England’s goalkeeper and back-line looks fairly set, with Jordan Pickford between the sticks, John Stones and Marc Guehi as a central defensive pair, Kyle Walker at right-back and Kieran Trippier filling in at the problem left-back position.
The same can be said up front, where Harry Kane is certain to spearhead the attack ahead of Phil Foden, Jude Bellingham, and Bukayo Saka. The latter has been carrying a knock, but it is thought he has fully recovered on the eve of England’s curtain raiser.
Declan Rice fills one of the remaining two positions in midfield, leaving his double-pivot partner as the one contentious point.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is rumoured to be getting the nod, but at 1/4 he is unappealing, especially considering he wasn’t selected against Iceland in England’s final warm-up friendly. Instead, I’d recommend boosting the odds with a 2/1 shot for Kobbie Mainoo.

Kane 1+ fouls, 1+ fouls drawn and to score or assist – 7/4 with SkyBet
Harry Kane scored or assisted in every game he started in Euro 2024 qualifying and was prolific in the fouls markets, too.
He committed at least one foul in five of his seven starts and drew at least one foul in six of them, with this specific bet landing in four of his seven starts.

Harry Kane is coming off a season in which he scored 36 times in 32 Bundesliga matches and the fact that he’s settled in Germany could be vital. The forward has scored in ten of his last 14 internationals and he’s scored ten goals across his last ten competitive games for England.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to have 2+ shots
England have not looked at their best at the back and Serbia midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic averaged 2.24 shots per 90 minutes through qualifying. He had at least two shots in four of his seven appearances, two of which he was limited to minutes from the bench.
Aleksandar Mitrovic to be fouled 1+ times
Aleksandar Mitrovic is expected to lead the line for Serbia on Sunday and he was fouled 12 times in Euro 2024 qualifying. The former Fulham man drew at least one foul in five of his seven qualifying outings, drawing two or more in four of those.
Harry Kane to be fouled 2+ times
Harry Kane was fouled 12 times during qualifying for this tournament and the England captain is likely to be involved heavily against Serbia. He was fouled twice or more in five of his seven starts in qualifying.
