The Europa League and Europa Conference League play-off round games take place on Thursday as a few more teams drop into those competitions.

The Champions League teams enter the Europa League, while the sides that finished third in their Europa League groups come into the Conference League.

After our Champions League to qualify acca earlier this week I’ve done the same with eight more ties across the other two European competitions and the result is the huge 139/1 bet, as well as an updated look at the outright contenders.

139/1 Europa League & Conference League Qualifying Acca

Europa League Tips

Feyenoord to qualify vs Roma @ 19/20

Feynoord have met Roma in Europe in each of the last two seasons and have come out second best, losing the 2022 UECL final and then in the UEL knockout stages last year. All of those games were fairly close, however, and the Dutch side are probably in better form going into this latest match-up, so it looks like a good chance for the Rotterdam club to take some revenge.

Galatasaray to qualify vs Sparta Prague @ 1/2

Galatasaray come into the competition after dropping out of the Champions League. A match-up with Sparta Prague looks a tough one for the Turkish giants, but if they can make the most of home advantage in their first leg they will fancy their chances of reaching the last 16.

AC Milan to qualify vs Rennes @ 1/2

Rennes did well in the group stages but they found Villarreal a step too far and Milan are perhaps a level above the Spanish side. The Rossoneri can afford to focus on this competition as they are comfortably in Serie A’s top four but the Scudetto looks out of reach, so they should be expected to finish ahead of Rennes.

Lens to qualify vs Freiburg @ 4/7

The match-up between Lens and Freiburg looks a competitive one but the fact the first leg is taking place in France could be key. Lens come into the first leg in fine form with three straight wins, while Freiburg have lost their last three and have struggled on their travels all season. If Lens can secure a first leg win, they have enough quality to go and defend that lead in Germany.

Europa Conference League Tips

Molde to qualify vs Legia Warsaw @ 6/5

The Conference League provides a chance to go for a few upsets and backing Molde to overcome Poland’s Legia appeals.

The Norwegian club have had a long time to prepare for this tie as their domestic season is over, while Legia have just returned to action after a winter break. This is another tie where first leg home advantage looks massive, if Molde can make the most of it.

Ferencvaros to qualify vs Olympiakos @ 19/20

This is a tie that looks evenly-matched but preference goes to the slight underdogs Ferencvaros after a strong group stage campaign. The Hungarian side came through a tough group unbeaten to reach this round, while Olympiakos are dropping down from the Europa League and may struggle against a Ferencvaros outfit who look fully focused on this competition.

Slovan Bratislava to qualify vs Sturm Graz @ 1/1

Sturm Graz’s focus right now is probably on their intense Austrian title fight with Red Bull Salzburg as they trail the leaders by just two points in their domestic league. They may view this competition as a lower priority, and that gives in-form Slovan Bratislava a real chance to progress to the last 16.

Servette to qualify vs Ludogorets Razgrad @ 11/8

Switzerland’s Servette are the team dropping down from the Europa League after a fairly poor group stage campaign, although they did manage a draw with Roma. Again, first leg home advantage looks huge as they are unbeaten in 12 in front of their own fans and they should come into the opener a little sharper as Ludogorets have only just resumed action after Bulgaria’s winter break. Ludogorets struggled away in the group stages so if Servette can win convincingly in Switzerland they will feel capable of getting the result they need in the return game.

Europa League Outright Update

Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen lead the market at 2/1 and 9/2 respectively but their priorities perhaps lie elsewhere for the rest of the season, so AC Milan look an interesting option as they drop into the competition at 10/1.

The Rossoneri look comfortable in Italy’s top four but the title is probably out of reach, leaving them free to focus their efforts on European glory.

Europa Conference League Outright Update

Fiorentina lost out in the final last year to West Ham and the Italian outfit are rated as second favourites to go all the way this year at 11/2, behind Aston Villa.

La Viola are battling for the European spots in Italy but winning this competition would provide a route into the Europa League anyway. Fiorentina breezed through the groups despite having a fairly tough draw and look committed to this competition, so they can go one better this year after last season’s heartache.
