The dreaded early-season international break is looming over us but we still have one more weekend of top-tier footballing action before that unwelcome hiatus, and our six experts are back to provide you with all the best value bets for the weekend.

Last weekend saw FST’s experts slip a little but the trio of Alex Wrigley, Aaron Rogan and Gareth Freeman have still won ten of their 15 bets this season and posted a profit of just over three units, while both Chris Rivers and Dan Childs picked out winners last weekend, with the latter now leading the profit charts with 2.83 units in just two bets!

Can Dan continue his winning start to the season this week?

West Ham vs Crystal Palace – West Ham to win at 11/20

West Ham couldn’t have wished for a better start to the season and they have a great chance of making it three wins from three against a Crystal Palace side yet to score under Patrick Vieira.

The Hammers thrashed Leicester 4-1 on Monday to send them to the top of the Premier League and they have now won their last four league matches, scoring 14 goals in the process.

Palace, by contrast, have drawn one and lost two of their competitive games under Vieira and are yet to find the net. Their 3-0 defeat at Chelsea on the opening weekend saw them confined to their own half for the vast majority of the game and West Ham’s attacking prowess can punish them again.

Peterborough vs West Brom – Both teams to score at 5/6

Peterborough were poor defensively in League One last term and that’s carried over to the Championship. Posh have conceded seven times in just four matches, but they’ve proven their attacking credentials by scoring twice in both games in an unbeaten start at home.

Meanwhile, West Brom have seen both teams score in three of their four matches in the league this term. They’ve been wide open defensively – as seen in their 6-0 loss to Arsenal. However, they’ve made up for it going forward scoring at least twice in each of their four games. Both teams to score is my bet here.

Morecambe vs Sheffield Wednesday – Sheffield Wednesday to win at 10/11

After taking four points from their first two games of the season, Morecambe have lost their last three games in a row in all competitions and Sheffield Wednesday can extend that losing run.

Wednesday have managed three wins in succession and are yet to concede in League One and anything other than an away win here would be a shock.

MK Dons vs Accrington Stanley – MK Dons to win at 6/5

MK Dons had a tricky start to the League One season after losing a talented manager, Russell Martin, to Swansea but they have responded positively and can climb into the top half by defeating Accrington at Stadium MK.

Martin’s replacement, Liam Manning, has made a positive impression and watched his team draw 2-2 at promotion hopefuls Ipswich last Saturday.

Manning’s outfit look potent in attack with Tottenham loanee Troy Parrott and summer signing Mo Eisa on two goals each and they may be too strong for Stanley, who exited the League Cup on Tuesday with a penalty shootout defeat at League Two Oldham.

Cologne vs Bochum – Cologne to win at 5/6

Cologne have made a solid start to the new Bundesliga season, swatting aside Hertha Berlin 3-1 on the opening weekend before pushing reigning champions Bayern Munich close in a 3-2 defeat.

And with Anthony Modeste firing, they look a decent bet to see off newly promoted Bochum, who fell to a 1-0 defeat in their opening away against Wolfsburg and lost key forward Robert Zulj to UAE side Ittihad Kalba this summer.

Forest Green vs Port Vale – Forest Green to win at 19/20

Fast-starting Forest Green have found goals easy to come by with 13 scored in four games including six at home to Crawley a week ago.

Rovers then gave Brentford an almighty scare in the League Cup on Tuesday before giving second best, so will be hugely confident ahead of a showdown with Port Vale.

Vale are a tough team, who flit between a back four and a back five, and are making themselves hard to beat. They don’t score many, though – just one goal in four matches – which makes them seriously vulnerable if Forest Green are firing.
