Monaco vs Sturm Graz – Both teams to score at 19/20

With just three wins in nine competitive fixtures, Monaco have endured a really difficult start to the new season and, while they’re fully expected to bounce back against Sturm Graz, their defensive issues remain a major concern.

The Ligue 1 side have conceded in each of their last eight competitive matches and face a Sturm Graz side that have been in fine goalscoring form this season. The Austrians may ply their trade in a weaker league but the fact they have scored in all ten competitive games, netting 30 goals in total, cannot be ignored against a defensively weak home side.

PSV vs Real Sociedad – PSV to win at 11/8

PSV fell short in their bid to reach the Champions League as they lost to Benfica in the final qualifying round but they were really unlucky not to win the second leg of that tie at home.

The Dutch club dominated throughout and a similar performance against Sociedad on Thursday should be enough to win fairly comfortably.

PSV go into the game unbeaten in four overall and in Eindhoven they have an exceptional record. The Eredivisie side are unbeaten in their last 15 home games, winning 11 of those, and managed big wins over Galatasaray and Midtjylland in Champions League qualifying earlier in the summer.

Lokomotiv Moscow vs Marseille – Marseille to win at 1/1

Key striker Arkadiusz Milik remains sidelined for Marseille but his absence has not impacted their start to the season with the club having won three of their first four Ligue 1 matches in 2020-21.

And they look an excellent bet to win away to Lokomotiv Moscow, who managed only two wins in 18 matches in the Champions League across the last three seasons.

Their European pedigree is not great and, missing crucial creative outlet Anton Miranchuk, they are worth opposing in this Europa League group fixture.

Galatasaray vs Lazio – Lazio to win at 19/20

Lazio have settled into life under Maurizio Sarri nicely, winning two of their first three Serie A games and can take advantage of a struggling Galatasaray.

The Turks have been found wanting in European competition this season, losing 7-2 on aggregate to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League qualifiers before squeezing past Danish side Randers to reach the Europa League group stages.

Visiting Istanbul is currently not the terrifying away day it once was with Gala winning just two of their last 10 European home games.

The hosts are also missing key players, including Arda Turan and Sofiane Feghouli, and they’ll find it tough to keep out a Lazio side that have bagged nine in their three domestic outings this season.

Midtjylland vs Ludogorets – Midtjylland to win to nil at 2/1

Ludogrets became just the third side ever to lose all of their Europa League group games last season and face a tough opener this season away to Midtyjlland.

The Danish side beat Celtic in Champions League qualifying before they were edged out against PSV Eindhoven in the play-off. They drew with Liverpool last season and are no slouches at this level.

Three of their last four games have seen Midtyjlland win to nil and they are taken to do so again over a Ludogrets side who have lost five of their last six Europa League away games.
