Sunday is a busy day for football across England and Europe, so we’ve called in three Racing Post experts to join our FST tipsters in searching for the day’s best bets.

Below we have six selections from across Europe’s top leagues, which combine for a 49/1 accumulator. Can all six writers land their bet of the day tips?

Roma vs Bologna – Roma to win at 13/20

Roma have one foot in the Europa League last four, but it’s the top four in Serie A they’re chasing this weekend. The Giallorossi need a victory to keep up with the sides above them, but they should be confident of dealing with Bologna.

The hosts have won 10 of their 11 home games against sides who are currently below them, while they’ve got a 100% record against bottom half sides at the Olimpico. Meanwhile, Bologna have lost 10 of their last 12 clashes with sides starting the day in the top seven, so the hosts look like good value here.

Valencia vs Real Sociedad – Valencia Double Chance at 4/6

Valencia have one of the worst away records in La Liga but they have proven much more difficult to beat at the Estadio de Mestalla, losing just three of their 14 La Liga home games so far. The most recent of these came before Christmas and they come into this match against a stricken Real Sociedad side having won each of their last four at home.

The suspended Igor Zubeldia and Martin Zubimendi are two or up to ten absentees expected for the visitors and their form has started to slip of late. They have won only one of their last five and were demolished 6-1 at home to Barcelona before the international break, while their previously excellent away record has given way to just two wins in nine on the road.

Villarreal vs Osasuna – Villarreal to win at 8/13

In-form Villarreal have won six games in a row in all competitions and on Sunday the Yellow Submarine are targeting their fourth win on the spin in La Liga.

Osasuna meanwhile, are without a win or even a goal in four fixtures, and the division’s third lowest scorers should find the going tough against Unai Emery’s formidable Villarreal. The Europa League quarter-finalists beat Osasuna 3-1 in December and they should be comfortable against the same opponents this weekend.

West Ham vs Leicester – Leicester to win at 11/8

The London Stadium plays host to a massive match in the race for Champions League qualification and it’s a clash which road-specialists Leicester can win against West Ham.

Leicester have won ten away league matches – three more than at home – and can take advantage of the fact the Hammers are missing key men Michail Antonio and Declan Rice.

West Ham are also running unusually hot in attack which is unlikely to continue. In the last six matches they have had only 60 shots – a number that would indicate a return of around six goals for an average team – yet they have actually scored 11 times. These spells don’t tend to last for too long.

Cologne vs MainzMainz to win at 7/5

Mainz head to Cologne in a fixture which will have significant ramifications at the bottom of the Bundesliga and the visitors may have the firepower to secure three valuable points.

Bo Svensson’s men are 16th in Germany’s top flight, two points clear of the struggling Billy Goats, and have looked solid ever since the Dane took charge in January.

Mainz have won five of their last ten matches, losing only twice, and are unbeaten in four on the road. That spells trouble for a Cologne team who are winless in seven and registered just one shot on target in last weekend’s 1-0 defeat at Wolfsburg.

Lens vs Lorient – Lens to win at Evens

The Champions League places are a bridge too far for Lens this season but they are on course to secure fifth spot in Ligue 1 and can earn another win at home to Lorient on Sunday.
Lens are unbeaten in their previous ten league encounters, beating Montpellier, Dijon, St-Etienne and Strasbourg as part of that run. Lorient, meanwhile, have won only two of their last eight league fixtures and are at risk of relegation this campaign.
