Juventus vs AC Milan – AC Milan double chance at 8/11

Juventus’s near-decade of dominance in Serie A came to an end last season and early signs suggest they won’t find it easy to bounce back to the top this term.

They beat Malmo in the Champions League in midweek but that was their first win in any competition since the new campaign started. Their three Serie A games have yielded just one point, including a shock 1-0 defeat at home to the newly promoted Empoli.

AC Milan are having a rather more enjoyable time. They put in a brave performance but ultimately lost at Anfield in midweek but prior to that they had won all three games this season and, looking back to last term, they are now unbeaten in eight Serie A matches and have dropped just two points in this period. Back Juve’s winless start to continue.

Verona vs Roma – Roma to win at 3/4

Jose Mourinho’s great start to life in Rome continued in midweek as they brushed aside CSKA Sofia 5-1. That made it six wins from six for the Portuguese since taking charge and the Serie A leaders can continue that fine run this week.

Verona have lost all three Serie A games this term, including two defeats at home. They have shipped three in home losses to Sassuolo and Inter Milan, so back a Roma side who have scored nine times in their perfect league start to claim the points on Sunday.

Real Betis vs Espanyol – Real Betis to win at 1/1

Real Betis picked up their first La Liga win of the season last time out by seeing off Granada and followed that up with a 4-3 Europa League win against Celtic, fighting back from 2-0 down.

They’ve not had the most inspiring start to the season but competed well in a 1-0 home loss to Real Madrid in their last domestic home game and should have too much for visitors Espanyol on Sunday.

The Catalan club are yet to win this season and have lost their last two games, and they’ve managed just one goal in four La Liga outings.

Borussia Dortmund vs Union Berlin – Borussia Dortmund to win & over 3.5 goals at 8/5

Dortmund have conceded at least twice in every Bundesliga game this season but still managed to win three of those and they can once again be involved in a ding-dong clash when Union Berlin visit.

Union could be tired after playing 51 minutes with ten men in Prague on Thursday, but even if Dortmund win they usually do it the hard way and require the talents of Erling Haaland to get the dodgy defence out of trouble.

Dortmund bashed Union 5-0 at home in the 2019-20 season and last term it was only 2-0 but the Yellow-Blacks did manage 11 shots on target, with the scoreline flattering Union.

Stuttgart vs Bayer Leverkusen – Bayer Leverkusen to win at 11/10

With three wins in their last four matches across all competitions, Bayer Leverkusen look as though they could again be a force in the Bundesliga and they can account for injury-hit Stuttgart this weekend.

Spearheaded by Euro 2020 top scorer Patrik Schick, Leverkusen have netted 12 goals across their four league fixtures this season, pushing Borussia Dortmund close in a 4-3 defeat last time out, while Stuttgart have shipped in each of their last 11 league fixtures.

Stuttgart will also be missing key defender Waldemar Anton, who is suspended, on Sunday and given they have won only once in the Bundesliga in 2021-22, they could be out of their depth.
