After over 12 months of action, Sunday night in Lisbon brings us to the end of the most bizarre season of Champions League football in history.

The big-spending Paris Saint Germain take part in their first ever Champions League Final after an inspired victory over RB Leipzig in the semi-finals, but they’re facing a step up in opposition when they come up against a seemingly unstoppable Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga giants have already clinched yet another domestic double this season and have been ruthless since the Champions League restart, seeing off Chelsea, Barcelona and Lyon and scoring 15 goals en-route.

To celebrate this most special of events, we’ve rounded up some of the very best Specials and Price Boosts that Virgin Bet have to offer. And remember to check out all our PSG vs Bayern Munich predictions here.

Best Champions League Final specials and price boosts

Bayern Munich to win both halves

was 4/1 –> now 9/2

Bayern Munich have been utterly irresistible so far in 2020, winning each of their last 20 competitive matches and heading into the Champions League Final having won all ten of their games in the competition this season.

Incredibly, they have won both halves in eight of these ten matches and in all three of their outings since the Champions League restart. In total they have managed a monumental 42 goals across these fixtures, so odds of 9/2 for them to win both halves for a ninth time in 11 Champions League games looks excellent value.

Neymar PSG

Mbappe and Neymar 2+ shots on target each

was 5/2 –> now 3/1

The two most expensive players in the world line up alongside each other in PSG’s extraordinarily costly squad. Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, costing a combined £350m, are without doubt the two standout superstars in a squad brimming with world-class talent.

They have scored eight goals and provided nine assists in a combined 15 Champions League appearances this season, and you don’t hit that tally without having a few attempts on goal. Neymar has averaged 3.5 shots per game in this season’s Champions League campaign, with Mbappe hitting a marginally lower 3.0 shots per game.

Mbappe tested the keeper three times against RB Leipzig last week, while two of Neymar’s seven attempts on goal hit the target against Atalanta in the quarter finals. Overally, Mbappe averaged 1.9 shots on target per game and Neymar 1.0, so a 3/1 price for them to slightly outperform their averages offers a good amount of value.

Robert Lewandowski 4+ shots on target

was 5/1 –> now 6/1

Bayern Munich’s star attacker has been in scintillating form this season, bagging 55 goals for Bayern Munich and hitting 15 in nine in the Champions League alone.

While he is ruthless in front of goal, he doesn’t hit these otherwordly figures without a few near misses. He has averaged 4.7 shots per game for Bayern this season, with that average increasing to 5.4 per game in the Champions League.

As you might expect from the world’s best out and out striker, he’s pretty accurate too. This season he has averaged 3.6 shots on target per game in the Champions League and in the three games since the Champions League restarted he has hit the target nine times.

Robert Lewandowski Bayern

3+ goals, 3+ cards and 12+ corners

3/1

It’s hard to make an argument for this being a low scoring Champions League Final. Bayern Munich have averaged an incredible 4.2 goals per game in this season’s competition, but they have looked vulnerable at the back and they’re facing a PSG side that have scored in each of their last 34 Champions League games.

Bayern alone have scored at least three goals in all but one of their Champions League games this season, and that’s even before you take PSG’s 2.5 goals per game average into account.

When it comes to cards, that’s PSG’s speciality. They have picked up 25 cards in ten Champions League games this season, while three of Bayern’s back four were booked in their 8-2 demolition of Barcelona in the quarter finals.

Die Roten have racked up an impressive 86 corners in their ten Champions League games too, and combined with PSG’s more modest tally of 44 corners in ten a high corner count is by no means out of the question.

Lewandowski and Neymar both to score

3/1

Robert Lewandowski’s quite incredible haul of goals this season has already been discussed, but it’s certainly worth reiterating. He has scored 55 times in 46 appearances, scoring 15 in nine Champions League games and finding the net in 15 of his last 17 appearances. It would take a brave man to back against him on Sunday.

Neymar’s tally isn’t quite up to that standard, but he’s still one of the most dangerous players on the pitch. Despite being plagued by injury and off-field drama this season, the £200m man still managed to score 16 goals in 21 Ligue 1 and Champions League appearances this season and has scored three goals in his last five Champions League appearances.
