Liverpool make the trip up the M62 to face arch-rivals Manchester United on Sunday afternoon knowing that a win at Old Trafford would guarantee they end the weekend at the summit of the Premier League table.

These two met last month and played out a thrilling 4-3 win for Manchester United after extra-time to end Liverpool’s dreams of a quadruple, but can the Reds exact their revenge?

Over 3.5 goals at 4/5

Manchester United lost a seven-goal thriller at Stamford Bridge in Thursday and their woes could continue when Liverpool come to town, although, as illustrated by that midweek collapse, scoring goals doesn’t tend to be a problem for the Red Devils.

The result is that their last five games have produced 22 goals in total and three of them have gone over 3.5 goals, while the rampant Reds have seen four or more goals scored in three of their last four in all competitions.

Mohamed Salah to score anytime at 10/11

Only Erling Haaland has scored more Premier League goals than Mohamed Salah this season and the Egyptian has an absurdly good record against Liverpool’s M62 rivals.

He has scored 13 times in 14 appearances against them, with 12 of those goals coming in his last eight meetings with Manchester United. He can add to his 22 competitive goals this season.

Bruno Fernandes to be shown a card at 9/5

Bruno Fernandes has been booked 11 times for Manchester United this season and eight of those have come at Old Trafford, including one in his last outing in front of the home faithful against none other than Liverpool.

That was Fernandes’ fourth booking against the Reds in eight total meetings, with all of those coming in his last five encounters and him ironically missing the reverse fixture at Anfield due to suspension.

Alexis Mac Allister to score or be shown a card at 7/5

Alexis Mac Allister has been one of the best signings of the season and the World Cup winner could make a difference again on Sunday.

He scored in Liverpool’s FA Cup defeat at Old Trafford and found the net again in midweek, while his energetic defensive performances regularly find him in the thick of things. The result is that Mac Allister has either scored or been carded in each of his last five outings for the club.

Liverpool to commit 12 or more fouls at evens

It may come as a surprise to many but, despite their utter dominance on the pitch, Liverpool are among the leaders in fouls committed in the Premier League this season.

Only Bournemouth, Wolves and Crystal Palace have committed more fouls than the Reds and they equalled their previous high for the season last weekend as they committed 20 fouls against Brighton. They have committed at least 12 fouls in ten of their last 15 top-flight assignments, including 13 in the reverse fixture against Manchester United.
