Celtic look on course to reach the Europa League group stages yet again after their 2-0 first-leg win over AZ last week, but can the Eredivisie outfit hit back in their first home game of the season?

Whatever happens, we’ve put together a huge 65/1 Bet Builder for the occasion as we target a similar success to that of Tuesday night’s winners!

65/1 AZ vs Celtic Bet Builder

AZ Alkmaar to win

AZ may have suffered a dismal start to the season but both their defeats have come away from home and back at the AFAS Stadion they are a force to be reckoned with. They have won seven on the bounce on home soil, while Celtic’s recent six-match winning streak only includes one trip away from Celtic Park.

Away from home The Bhoys have only won one of their last nine competitive matches and they could struggle on Thursday.

Both teams to score

Celtic may have a patchy form away from home but that largely stems from their defence. Going forward they are as impressive as ever and they have scored in all ten of their competitive matches this season.

Away from home they have scored in five of their last six in all competitions and they looked strong going forward against AZ last week.

Teun Koopmeiners to score anytime

Young sensation Myron Boadu may have departed AZ but they still have plenty of goalscoring talent. One such player is Teun Koopmeiners, AZ’s highly-rated midfielder who can also operate in the centre of defence.

Captain of AZ at the age of 22, Koopmeiners scored an impressive 15 Eredivisie goals from midfield last season, making him joint-top scorer alongside Boadu. In fact, he has scored 30 goals in the last two seasons for AZ in the Eredivsie and Europa League and is also their penalty taker.

David Turnbull to score anytime

Another midfield scoring sensation, David Turnbull could be the man to watch for the visitors. The 22-year-old bagged his first goals of the season in Celtic’s 3-0 win over Jablonec earlier this month and he’s used that performance as a platform.

He netted a hat-trick in Celtic’s 6-0 demolition of St Mirren at the weekend and will be on a high after a couple of fantastic weeks.

Over 10.5 corners

AZ’s only league fixture this season saw ten corners awarded but this one is all about Celtic. They have won an incredible 31 corners in just three Scottish Premiership games this term and have a corners per game average of 13.33.

Last season their games averaged a still-impressive 10.38 per game, so back the overs in this one.
