It’s been a rollercoaster of an MLB offseason, especially with the 99-day lockout that resulted in things starting a week later than planned.

But it’s finally time for baseball and here we round up our best picks for the World Series champions in 2022.

Will the Braves be able to repeat with star player Ronald Acuna Jr. back in action? Or will it be the Dodgers, who clearly had the best team last season but couldn’t quite put it all together.

The Blue Jays and Yankees will also be optimistic this year, while there is certainly plenty of excitement among Mets fans having signed star pitcher Max Scherzer to go alongside Jacob deGrom.

Who will stand tall? Let’s break down our best bets for the 2022 MLB season.

MLB 2022 World Series outright predictions

World Series winner best bet – Toronto Blue Jays at 8/1

There’s a good chance that this year’s World Series winner comes from the AL East, and the Blue Jays could be that team.

Every team in that division enters 2022 stronger than they were in 2021, but none look more impressive than Toronto.

They had three things on their to-do list this offseason: Acquire an all-star level third baseman, add a starting pitcher and add a reliable arm to the bullpen. Matt Chapman, Kevin Gausman and Yimi Garcia tick all three of those boxes.

The rotation of Gausman, Jose Berrios, Hyun Jin Ryu, Alek Manoah and Yusei Kikuchi is a top-three rotation in my opinion. The 23-year-old Guerrero Jr. is already one of the best players in baseball and I think he can lead the Blue Jays to a World Series win in 2022.

World Series winner longshot – Seattle Mariners at 33/1

The Mariners had one of the most productive off-seasons of any team by signing reigning Cy Young winner Robbie Ray and Jesse Winker – one of the best left-handed batters in the game.

Add these players to the Seattle lineup that nearly made the playoffs in 2021 and that’s a dangerous team.

At 33/1, the Mariners look well overpriced and represent plenty of value.
