Super Bowl LVIII prop bet predictions with 5 tips!

The Super Bowl is one of the sporting highlights of the year and we have followed our main Super Bowl LVIII preview with a host of more niche prop bets to sink your teeth into on Sunday night.

Not only that, but we’ve thrown in some novelty props here, too, and all the bets below are priced up with bet365, where new customers can claim up to £30 in free bets to use on Sunday’s Super Bowl.

Super Bowl LVIII prop bet predictions

Mahomes completions on first drive – Over 2.5 – 6-5 bet365

Since simplifying the offence ahead of the Week 17 win over the Bengals, the Chiefs have been starting fast, scoring on their opening drive in each of their three playoff games to get here.

Mahomes has completed 3, 3 and 4 passes on the opening drive in those games and is expected to at least reach 3 again in this one, with short passes to Kelce and Rice often factored into the early game script.

Kansas City Chiefs Field Goals – Over 1.5 20-23 bet365

In 18 career playoff games, Chiefs’ kicker Harrison Butker has hit on 28 of 32 field goals and has converted all 7 attempts this postseason.

Despite head coach Andy Reid being an offensive genius, he’s not the most aggressive when it comes to attempting fourth downs, so he won’t be shy to call Butker’s number if the moment dictates, especially with him having a 60-yard range and this one being indoors.

Add in the fact the Chiefs have had their share of red zone struggles this season, and this rates a good bet.

Deebo Samuel to record a reception on 49ers first drive – 10-11 bet365

With Niners’ QB Brock Purdy having got off to a shaky start in both the Divisional Round and the NFC title game, it seems highly likely that head coach Kyle Shanahan’s game script for their opening drive in the Super Bowl will feature two things, Christian McCaffrey running the ball and short passes, either over the middle or wide receiver screens, in order to settle Purdy in.

Assuming that’s the case, then this bet looks a good one, with Deebo boasting elite run-after-catch ability and having had a reception on the Niners’ opening drive in both previous games this postseason.

Brock Purdy most consecutive completions – Under 6.5 – 4-6 bet365

Purdy has struggled for lengthy spells this postseason and it took him using his legs to get the team ignited on offence against the Lions.

Going against an elite Chiefs’ pass defence, boasting arguably the best defensive backfield in the NFL, Purdy seems unlikely to get hot for any lengthy stretch, while it would be a surprise were head coach Kyle Shanahan not to lean heavily on running the ball with his best player, Christian McCaffrey.

Team to record most sacks – Kansas City Chiefs 23-20 bet365

Despite heavily investing in their defensive line both ahead of and during this season, the 49ers’ pass rush has been underwhelming and, having been shut out in terms of sacks against the Packers, they managed just two against the immobile Jared Goff in the title game.

Mahomes, meanwhile, is one of the most elusive QBs in the NFL and hasn’t taken a single sack in three games this postseason.

Despite losing Derrick Nnadi to injury versus the Ravens, Chris Jones and George Karlaftis are a force to be reckoned with up front for the Chiefs, while they also love to blitz their defensive backs.

At odds against, the Chiefs make plenty of appeal.
