ZOZO Championship & Andalucia Masters tips with 608/1 double

The DP World Tour stays in Spain this week for the Andalucia Masters and the PGA Tour will fly across to Chiba, Japan for the ZOZO Championship.

France’s Matthieu Pavon will be heading to the Andalucia Masters hoping for a repeat of his success at last week’s Open de Espana, while US Open winner Wyndham Clark heads the market for the tournament at the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, which takes over as host course from Valderrama.

Victory at the ZOZO Championship can open many doors in the PGA Tour for the new year and it should be a competitive gathering at the Accordia Golf Narashino where Keegan Bradley is the defending champion.

Our golf betting expert Ian Wilkerson has an each-way double that pays out at 608/1.

Andalucia Masters winner prediction – Rasmus Hojgaard 28/1

The DP World Tour regulars will be presented with an unfamiliar test at Sotogrande after the flagship Valderrama jumped ship to sign a five-year deal to host a tournament on the breakaway LIV Tour.

So it is a step into the unknown and Clark will have plenty of supporters, as will New Zealander Ryan Fox, who recently won the prestigious BMW PGA Championship and was second last time out at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

However, there could be some value in supporting Denmark’s Rasmus Hojgaard at 28/1, who was fifth in this tournament down the road last year and heads here in decent nick.

He was fourth in the Open de France recently and then closed with a 66 at the weather-affected Alfred Dunhill on his last outing to finish 25th.

Those efforts were similar to 12 months ago when he was second in Paris and 17th in Scotland, and there should be a huge motivation for him to end the season in fine fettle after his twin Nicolai was a member of the successful European Ryder Cup team.

ZOZO Championship winner prediction – Keegan Bradley 20/1

Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa head the market for the ZOZO Championship, but there looks a strong chance that defending champion Bradley can enjoy another good week.

Many observers believed the former US PGA champion was unfortunate not to earn a place in Zach Johnson’s Ryder Cup team and he is likely to be determined to prove a point where he ended a four-year trophy drought 12 months ago.

Bradley owns the 18-hole course record at Accordia Club Narashino and has already tasted victory at the Travelers Championship this year, so this looks a good opportunity to get behind the man from New England as he makes his return to action after the FedEx Cup playoffs.
