      Aberdeen to Win

      Reason for tip

Aberdeen showed great resolve to come back from 2-0 down to earn a draw from the first leg of their Europa League qualifier at Hacken and they can complete the job by winning at Pittodrie. they should take extra confidence from the fact they beat the Swedes 5-1 in the Europa Conference League two years ago.

      Aberdeen 2-0

      Reason for tip

The Dons have been particularly strong on their own patch, losing just six of their last 23 home games and, with six clean sheets kept in their last eight Pittodrie outings, they should be confident of gaining a 2-0 victory.

      Aberdeen vs BK Hacken Predictions

      • Aberdeen have lost just six of their last 23 home games
      • The Dons have kept a clean sheet in six of their last eight matches at Pittodrie
      • Striker Bojan Miovski has scored in each of his last four matches for Barry Robson’s side.

      Aberdeen can build on fightback

Aberdeen looked to be heading out of the Europa League after falling 2-0 behind at Hacken last week, but the Dons fought back to earn a draw and should be confident they can see off their Swedish opponents now they are back on home turf.

Barry Robson’s team needed a late penalty from Bojan Miovski to earn a league draw at St Mirren last week, but they are a different proposition on their own patch, where their 3-1 defeat in the season opener against champions Celtic was only the second time in eight Pittodrie games that they have conceded.

A 5-1 victory on the north-east coast over these same opponents should give them extra confidence, particularly as Hacken were poor in a 4-2 defeat to IFK Gothenburg at the weekend.

      Defence should be relied upon

The Dons have a habit of preventing their opponents from breaking through on their own patch and even though they were beaten by Celtic early in the season, Hacken look weaker than the team from Glasgow.

With Miovski in excellent form, Aberdeen should just have the edge and with their customary security, they can keep the Swedes at bay and record a 2-0 success to put them through to the group stage for the first time.
