ADO Den Haag vs VVV Predictions

Den Haag picked up their first points of the new season last weekend when they hammered newly-promoted RKC 3-0 in their own backyard, while VVV recorded their second win of the season away at Utrecht.

The recent encounters between these two clubs and both teams’ form and performances over the last month or so suggest that both teams will score and over 2.5 goals will be produced in Saturday’s clash, and we’re backing the game to end in stalemate.

Four of the last six meetings between these two clubs have seen both teams score, and the two that didn’t were both at VVV. Two of the pairs’ last three meetings at this ground have ended in draws, 1-1 in 2018 and 2013. Both teams scored and over 2.5 goals were produced in two of the pairs’ last six encounters and on each occasion, the scoreline ended 4-2.

The performances of both sides in recent weeks point towards plenty of goals being scored this weekend, as both teams scored and over 2.5 goals were produced in four of Den Haag’s last six matches as well as in each of VVV’s last four matches. Den Haag have only kept one clean sheet in the Eredivisie this season, away at RKC last weekend, and VVV are yet to keep a single clean sheet in the league having conceded ten goals in their first four matches.

Den Haag have also been leaking goals so far this season with nine conceded in their opening four matches but were much better defensively against RKC last time out. This fixture hasn’t failed to produced goals since the pair drew 0-0 back in 2010 and we’re certainly not expecting either side to be goal-shy this weekend.

We’re confident that both teams will score and over 2.5 goals will be produced on Saturday and have predicted a final scoreline of 2-2. Neither team heads into the game in great form or having played extremely well so far this season, and with the two clubs conceding lots of goals we’ve backed a 2-2 draw.
