      Juventus To Win To Nil

      Reason for tip

Juventus get their Club World Cup campaign underway against Al Ain, who finished fifth in the Emirati top flight last season. The gulf in class should be clear and the Old Lady are fancied to win to nil.

      Juventus 3-0

      Reason for tip

Four of Al Ain’s last six games have finished 3-0 and a repeat of that scoreline is fancied, albeit in Juventus’ favour.

Al Ain SCC vs Juventus Predictions

      • Only Napoli conceded fewer goals than Juventus’ 35 in Serie A last season
      • Four of Al Ain’s last six games finished 3-0
      • Al Ain finished 19 points off the league leaders in the UAE Pro League last season

      Al Ain up against it

Al Ain have only made one previous appearance at the Club World Cup, finishing as runners-up in 2018 when losing 4-1 in the final to Real Madrid.

However they look unlikely to have as big an impact this time with the club finishing fifth in the Emirati top flight.

They did win the AFC Champions League last year but they have gone backwards since then and their opening match against Juventus in the early hours of Thursday should be a real test, one they may fall short in.

      Comfortable success for Old Lady

Juve did not have the best campaign but managed to hold off Roma to secure a top-four spot in Serie A and were only 12 points behind league winners Napoli.

Igor Tudor did a solid enough job since replacing Thiago Motta in March and has been rewarded with another season in charge of the Old Lady.

Another new boss is Al Ain’s Vladimir Ivic, who is the team’s third coach of the campaign.

That does not bode well for the AFC side and they look likely to be outclassed by Juve, who are fancied to win to nil.

The gulf between European teams and those from elsewhere has already been on show and could be obvious in this clash.

Four of the Emirati side’s last six games have finished 3-0 and a repeat of that is fancied in a Juventus win.
