Saints to continue perfect start

St Johnstone have won their opening two games in the group stage of the League Cup and they’re out to make it three from three in Tuesday’s visit to Alloa.

These two sides met at this stage last term, with the Saints running out 4-0 winners at Indodrill Stadium. The hosts are in the third-tier after losing in the playoffs last season, failing to win any of their final four matches of the campaign.

Alloa have drawn with East Fife and beaten Brechin City so far this term, but this is by far their biggest test. The Saints have had an impressive summer, winning three games in preseason before their perfect start in the League Cup.
