Lorient are the best bet to win away at Angers on Sunday. It’s three games since Alexandre Dujeux’s side last won at home in Ligue 1, and they can be beaten by Olivier Pantaloni’s Lorient.

Lorient are four places above Angers in the table, but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. Lorient, in 13th, have two wins and four losses from their eight games, while Angers have won once and lost four.

The hosts could do with turning things around. Angers are without a win in eight of their last nine Ligue 1 games, and have had three reverses in their last four.

Angers have been disappointing in front of goal at home this season, scoring only three goals in four home games in Ligue 1. They have sustained three defeats without finding the net in their last four matches.

The hosts look vulnerable at the back. Angers have gone three Ligue 1 home games without keeping a clean sheet, and have failed to keep a clean sheet in ten of their last 12 at home.

Lorient can edge this, with a 1-0 correct score in favour of the visitors looking like a decent bet. There have been under 2.5 goals in 12 of Angers’ last 15 Ligue 1 games and two of their four defeats this season have been by a 1-0 scoreline.
