Armenia vs Germany Predictions

  • Armenia went down 5-0 at home to North Macedonia on Thursday.
  • Meanwhile, Germany claimed a 9-0 win over Liechtenstein.
  • Leroy Sane has six goals in his last six starts for club and country.

Germany set for another big win

Armenia’s World Cup dreams were extinguished in empathic style by North Macedonia in midweek and they could be in line for another humbling when they entertain Germany on Sunday.

Armenia were in with a chance of reaching Qatar going into their home game against North Macedonia on Thursday but a 5-0 defeat ended their chances. Technically, Armenia could still catch North Macedonia in second spot with a win here but they would also need an 18-goal swing in their favour and that just isn’t going to happen.

Germany have already wrapped up top spot so this tie is effectively a dead rubber but that doesn’t mean the visitors will ease off here. The German had already qualified before they hosted Liechtenstein on Thursday but they still went on to claim a 9-0 victory and can beat wounded Armenia with plenty of room to spare this weekend.

Germany won the reverse fixture 6-0 and have won four of their last qualifiers by four or more goals. Considering Armenia were just thrashed by North Macedonia, Germany should be far too good on Sunday and an away win with a -3 handicap is the main bet here and we’re going to be ambitious with our correct score bet and back a 7-0 win for the visitors.

With Germany expected to score a few goals, it makes sense to pick out a potential scorer here and Leroy Sane appeals.  The Bayern Munich man scored twice against Liechtenstein, taking his tally to four goals in eight qualifying appearances, and has six goals in his last six starts for club and country.
