      Atalanta to Win

      Reason for tip

Atalanta have hit some form with six wins in their last eight overall and four wins in their last five at home. La Dea have a strong recent record against Roma and can pick up all three points against a side who have lost three of their last four away from home in Serie A.

      Atalanta 2-1

      Reason for tip

Atalanta have only managed one clean sheet in their last five games so Roma should at least be able to get on the scoresheet. No team has managed to beat Roma by more than one goal this season in any competition so a 2-1 home win looks a solid correct score prediction.

      Atalanta vs Roma Predictions

      • Atalanta have four wins in their last five at home.
      • Roma have three defeats in their last four away.
      • La Dea have won five of the last six meetings, with one draw.

      No happy return for Gasperini

Atalanta face their former manager on Saturday as Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma visit Bergamo.

Gasperini guided La Dea to Europa League glory in 2024 and then left the club at the end of last season, after securing Champions League football.

He should be given a warm welcome by the home crowd, but that may be as good as it gets for Gasperini as Atalanta appear well placed to claim maximum points.

Roma were Serie A’s road warriors earlier in the season but their form has dipped with three defeats in their last four trips. Meanwhile, Atalanta have hit some form with six wins in their last eight overall and four wins in their last five at home, losing to Inter Milan in their last game at this venue.

La Dea also have an excellent record against the Giallorossi with five wins and a draw in the last six meetings, they can continue that dominance on Saturday evening.

Atalanta have only managed one clean sheet in their last five games so Roma should at least be able to get on the scoresheet. A 2-1 home win has a chance as no team has managed to beat Roma by more than one goal this season in any competition.
