Atalanta look the best bet when they host Roma in Serie A on Monday. Gian Piero Gasperini’s side take on Claudio Ranieri’s team at the Gewiss Stadium and can dent Roma’s hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

They are third in Serie A, two places above Roma, with the hosts having won 20 and lost seven of their 35 games this season, while the visitors have recorded 18 wins and nine defeats.

Atalanta’s 4-0 win away at Monza kept up their recent winning trend. They have now won 14 of the 21 matches in which they have been odds-on this season.

Atalanta are in fine fettle. They have won three of their last four Serie A matches and kept three clean sheets in their last four Serie A outings.

Atalanta will expect to get on the scoresheet, having scored three or more goals in 11 of their 35 games this season. They have averaged 1.53 goals a game in their 17 matches against other top-half teams.

They look set for a 2-0 home win over Roma. The visitors have played eight successive games in Serie A with fewer than three goals and Atalanta were 2-0 winners against them last time they met in the league.
