Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Atletico Madrid have seen both teams score in three of their last four league games, while failing to keep a clean sheet in six of their last seven fixtures. Both teams have scored in Las Palmas’ last three away matches.

Atletico Madrid 2-1

Reason for tip

Atletico Madrid have conceded exactly once in four successive league games, while netting at least twice in three of their last five home league games. Las Palmas have conceded at least twice in each of their five away La Liga fixtures, including a pair of 2-1 defeats, to Leganes and Osasuna.

Atletico Madrid vs Las Palmas Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in three of Atletico Madrid’s last four league games
  • Las Palmas have failed to net in only one of their last eight outings
  • Four successive Atleti home fixtures have seen both teams score

Atleti struggling for consistency

It’s been a bit of a worrying run of Atletico Madrid, who have lost three of their last six outings, with their only clean sheet during that period coming against seventh tier side Vic.

When it comes to the league, three of their four most recent fixtures have seen both teams score, as have their last four home matches across all competitions.

They do tend to be good for a victory at the Wanda though, where they have lost just two of 35 league games since early 2023, 21 of which have seen both teams score.

Las Palmas bang in form

That record will be put to the test by opponents Las Palmas, who are riding high after a three-match winning streak, beating Valencia (3-2), Girona (1-0) and Ontinena (7-0).

That goalscoring form has been particularly impressive, and the Canary Island side have in fact netted in all bar one of their last eight fixtures.

As such, eight of their dozen games this season have seen both teams score, including each of their last three away La Liga clashes.

I predict that both teams will score in this game, but it will be tough for Las Palmas to extend their winning run, so 2-1 to Atleti is my correct score prediction.
