Leipzig likely to pick up another three points

A 6-0 hammering at the hands of Bayern Munich in their Bundesliga opener has been quickly forgotten by RB Leipzig, who have won five and lost none of their subsequent six games. 

Ole Werner’s side have only dropped points against Borussia Dortmund during that sensational run and will expect to pick up another three points at Augsburg on Saturday. 

The hosts have had a contrasting start to RB, winning their opener before going on to lose four of the six games since, leaving them looking vulnerable ahead of Saturday’s showdown.

Ailing Augsburg to fall short again 

Augsburg needed a penalty to earn a point against Cologne last time and look well below the quality of Leipzig, who actually won the xG battle 1.09-0.90 in their draw at Dortmund. 

To make matters worse for Sandro Wagner’s side, their record against RB is woeful as Augsburg are winless in 15 meetings, losing nine. 

Leipzig are in fine form and it would be a major surprise if they didn’t pick up a sixth win in seven games this weekend.
