Seattle bid to bounce back in Austin
Seattle Sounders saw their unbeaten start to the season ended by Minnesota United in the previous round of fixtures but they can get back to winning ways at lowly Austin in the early hours of Friday morning.
Injury issues are starting to impact on Seattle as forward Will Bruin and defender Shane O’Neill have recently joined a seemingly ever-growing list of absentees but Austin have a lengthy injury list too and we still feel the visitors should have the quality to claim three points in this match-up.
Austin have managed just three wins in their 13 games so far this season and two of those victories came in their first three fixtures. The Texas outfit did claim a 4-1 win over Portland Timbers earlier this month but have lost five and drawn four of their last 10 games.
The Sounders have the best away record in the Western Conference with three wins, two draws and just one defeat from six games on the road so far. Settle aren’t prolific scorers on their travels though with just seven goals in those six games and as Austin have failed to score in three of their fixtures at the Q2 Stadium a 0-1 correct score result looks a good option in this match-up.
