Austria vs Serbia Predictions

Austria in good form

Preparations for Euro 2024 are well under way and both Austria and Serbia will be looking to get their final tune ups done when they meet in this friendly in Vienna on Tuesday. The hosts have been in rock solid form recently under Ralf Rangnick, winning their last five in a row including successes over Germany and Turkey. 

They finished just a point behind Belgium in qualifying for the European Championships and will be hoping to improve upon their run to the round of 16 in that tournament three years ago, which was their best ever finish.

They face a tough group against Poland, the Netherlands and France so will be aiming to set themselves up for the tournament proper with a win.

Serbia unusually goalshy

Serbia have struggled somewhat since sneaking through Group G to qualify for Euro 2024. They have suffered 1-0 and 4-0 defeats to Belgium and Russia respectively in their last four games and were held to a 2-2 draw by Bulgaria.

That form is no good enough to challenge a resurgent Austria and the hosts are expected to win this one.

Serbia have been blanked in two of their last four and Austria have kept four clean sheets in their last six friendlies so correct score backers should side with a 2-0 win for the home team.
