Barca aiming to bounce back

Barcelona were beaten 2-1 by Monaco in their Champions League opener and also saw their perfect start to the new La Liga season ended by Osasuna on Saturday, but they will expect to bounce back from both of those setbacks when they host Young Boys on Tuesday.

Hansi Flick’s side have won each of their last six home matches and have averaged over three goals-per-game during that time, most notably when they put seven past Valladolid at the end of August.

Young Boys were beaten on home soil by Aston Villa in their Champions League opener and the Bern outfit currently sit just a place off the bottom of the Swiss Super League standings after winning just one of their opening eight games.

Despite their struggles for wins, Young Boys are still scoring regularly, particularly away from home, with six of their last seven away games featuring at least four goals.

Barcelona have also been involved in plenty of entertaining games of late, with four of their last six going beyond the 3.5 goal mark.

Having also averaged over three goals-per-game at home in recent months, Barca could well score four this midweek, but they have kept just two clean-sheets in nine across all competitions so far this season, so Young Boys can expect to get on the scoresheet even if they end up suffering a rather chastening defeat.
