BATE Borisov vs Dinamo Brest Predictions

Bate Borisov extended their lead at the top of the Belarusian Premier League to four points with Wednesday’s 3-1 win at Dinamo Brest and can claim the season’s first piece of silverware at the expense of the same opposition.

It was a sixth consecutive win for Bate and was the fourth time in succession that they had scored three or more goals in a game.

Bate enjoyed 55 per cent possession and forced 13 shots on goal to Brest’s six in midweek’s meeting and if anything a rematch at a neutral venue should bolster the claims of the league leaders.

Dinamo Brest have now shipped 12 goals in six outings and defensively there is plenty of room for improvement. Only five of the 16 teams in the Belarusian top-flight have conceded more than them.

Both teams have scored in five of the last six meetings so Dinamo Brest, who have found the net in each of their last five games, are fancied at least to grab a consolation. 

Bate have conceded in five of their last six cup clashes, shipping in winning both legs of March’s meeting with Dinamo Minsk. Three of the last five rivalries have resulted in 3-1 wins and a repeat of Wednesday’s result is worth consideration.
