Injuries to Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tyrell Malacia have devastated their back line, while the off-field turmoil surrounding Antony and Jadon Sancho leave them short of options on the right and new midfield signings Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat are both out injured, too.

With poor form, injury issues and off-field drama against them, it is safe to say a trip to a Bayern Munich side with an astonishing Champions League group stage record is not particularly appealing for fans of the away side.
