Cherries can end Birmingham’s unbeaten start

Birmingham City entertain Bournemouth in the Championship on Wednesday with both sides bringing unbeaten records to the table.

The Blues opened the campaign with a win at relegated Sheffield United and played out a 0-0 draw with Stoke at the weekend, with a 1-0 win over Colchester in the EFL Cup sandwiched in the middle.

Bournemouth thrashed MK Dons 5-0 in their curtain raiser in the cup then drew 2-2 with West Brom before overcoming Nottingham Forest 2-1 away at the weekend, despite seeing playmaker David Brooks dismissed on the hour mark.

Birmingham have struggled for goals but three clean sheets so far, although we feel the Cherries will test their defensive resolve.  Bournemouth have nine goals in three games so far and can pick up a win on the road on Wednesday, while a 2-1 win for the away side stands out as the visitors are yet to keep a clean sheet in the league.
