Halmstads have struggled at the back this season and the best bet may well be that both teams score when they visit Hacken at Gamla Ullevi on Sunday.

Hacken are ninth in the Allsvenskan, two places above Halmstads, but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. Hacken have five wins and six defeats from their 14 games, while Halmstads have five wins and eight losses.

Hacken’s recent Allsvenskan form has been inconsistent, with two wins, two draws and two defeats in their last six games. They beat IF Elfsborg 2-0 last weekend, while Halmstads are on a run of two straight away losses. However, Halmstads have enjoyed two straight victories against Hacken.

Both teams have had their defensive struggles this season. Hacken have failed to keep a clean sheet in nine of their last 11 Allsvenskan games against Halmstads, while the visitors have conceded 27 goals in 14 games this season.

Five of the last seven times that Hacken have hosted Halmstads in the Allsvenskan have ended with both teams getting on the scoresheet.

A 3-1 home win for Hacken is an appealing correct-score bet. Five of Halmstads’ 14 league matches this season have produced over 3.5 goals, and Hacken have been two-goal winners four times in the Allsvenskan this season.
