Blackburn vs Huddersfield Betting Tips & Predictions

These two sides are in 16th and 19th positions with Rovers 1 point better off than Huddersfield. However a 9 point gap exists between the Terriers and the bottom 3 and with only 5 games to go it’s hard to see either Charlton or MK Dons catching either side. Neither Blackburn or Huddersfield are in great form though but something has to give here.

Blackburn have won only 1 of their last 6 games and have lost 4 of them. Their last 2 games at Ewood Park have both ended in 2-1 defeats at the hands of Preston and Leeds but they have been looking more dangerous going forward at home at least. They’d won 4 home league games in a row prior to that and will be keen to get back to winning ways here as they aim for a positive end to the campaign.

Huddersfield have been a bit unpredictable this season. They picked up a crushing 4-1 win at local rivals Leeds last month but since then have only picked up 1 point from 3 league games. They were tough fixtures though coming against 3 sides currently in the top 6 and they did pick up a 2-2 draw against Hull last time out and would have won it were it not for a late equaliser from Adama Diomande.

Certainly goals tend to follow the Terriers around particularly since David Wagner took charge. There have been over 2.5 goals in 5 of their last 6 matches and there have been at least 2 goals in every away game they have played over the past 6 months. There have been over 2.5 goals in 6 of Blackburn’s last 7 home matches too so backing there to be over 2.5 goals at 23/20 in this one certainly looks a good shout.
