      Mansfield Town to Win

      Reason for tip

Mansfield are fresh from seeing off Premier League Burnley in the FA Cup and are unbeaten on their travels since November. Nigel Clough’s side will fancy their chances of winning at Blackpool, who have lost seven of their last nine.

      Mansfield Town 2-1

      Reason for tip

Mansfield won 2-1 at Burnley in the FA Cup and they can repeat the trick three days later at Blackpool. The Stags have scored in six successive away games, while four of the Seasiders last six defeats have been by a 2-1 scoreline.

      Blackpool vs Mansfield Town Predictions

      • Blackpool have lost seven of their nine games since the turn of the year
      • Mansfield are fresh from Saturday’s FA Cup win at Premier League Burnley
      • The Stags are unbeaten on their travels since November

      Wounded Blackpool struggling for form

Blackpool sit just a point above the League One relegation zone and could hardly be in worse form ahead of Tuesday’s home clash with FA Cup giantkillers Mansfield.

Ian Evatt’s Seasiders have lost seven of their nine matches across league and cup since the turn of the year and have Saturday’s chastening 4-0 home defeat at the hands of Plymouth still fresh in their minds.

That was Blackpool’s third defeat in their last four matches at Bloomfield Road, while they have failed to win any of their three meetings with Mansfield since the start of last season, losing twice, including a 2-0 defeat in August’s reverse clash at the One Call Stadium.

Stags on a high after cup progress

Mansfield lost to Peterborough in their last home fixture, but they were unbeaten in nine before that and bounced back in style with Saturday’s 2-1 victory away at Burnley in the FA Cup fourth round.

That Turf Moor success will have further boosted confidence in the Stags camp and they will head to Bloomfield Road having not tasted defeat on their travels since a 3-0 loss at League One leaders Cardiff on November 29th.

Nigel Clough’s side cannot be fully ruled out from a late push for the play-offs and they can boost those prospects by claiming their second victory in Lancashire in the space of three days.
